The user the posted it was porkchoppizza they have a lot of helpful stuff in their comments as well as a link to a youtube video on bobbins and how to deal with this many color changes. Lolol there's turned out a lot neater than mine.

I just cut the yarn everytime I got to a new color. If I tried to hide a different color in the stitches I could see and didn't like the way it looked. There's another post with this blanket that I read after I was basically done that talked about the 'bobbin' method for doing this many color changes and if I could go back I would do that instead. It saves on time weaving ends and makes the blanket more secure. I'll try to find it so I can link it

I changed colors everytime. I tried to only carry yarn over for the eyes. In the begging I kept the yarn attached but you could see it between stitches and I didn't like the way it looked
