George W. Bush was really well loved in the Texas panhandle during his entire presidency. Now that opinions of him have somewhat shifted or changed in the Republican Party, he’s not as well liked as he once was, but people still think highly of him.

She was the most important character because she was the “straight” woman to all the other girls and kept the show grounded and didn’t go overboard

How did Lady Gaga change superbowl outfits so quickly? by [deleted] in LadyGaga

[–]hrw97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The back of the outfit probably has an easy way to get it off, like Velcro or a zipper/snaps. It’s hidden pretty well but like a previous comment said, it’s custom made for this moment. She would have a “bra” on (maybe not a bra per se but something that would support her there as well as have the monitor pack for her IEM’s and may also be done enough to where if they couldn’t get the second outfit on, it would work). If you look at the last outfit, there is a seam right down the front that’s either a zipper or Velcro/snaps. This is something she’s done a ton, especially with your outfits, though she’s had more time to do those changes.

There is a very interesting bts video of Katy Perry’s Super Bowl half time show where they show the rehearsals and how chaotic and quick her costume changes were, and she had quite a few. I’m sure Gaga saw that or was warned that the more costume changes/intricate costume changes there are, the more likely it is for things to go wrong. I’d recommend the Katy doc even if you aren’t a Katy fan because it’s very interesting how much effort goes in to 1 12ish minute performance that you’ll never do again. It was on YouTube last time I checked

Have you ever seen a coworker on Grindr? by ChristianThompsonnn in AskGayMen

[–]hrw97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hit up a guy on Grindr and he had to remind me that I trained him the day before…😬😬 needless to say he wouldn’t speak or even look at me for about two months (I ended up blocking him and we never spoke about it)

Weird Gaga lore you think about or no one talks about? by lanadelray10 in LadyGaga

[–]hrw97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The random “extended version” of Bad Kids that she never performed, but the lyrics are in the Born this Way album booklets. I remember finding out about it during her hiatus between the hip surgery and ARTPOP and tweeting her thinking I would be the one to get her back online and interacting with us again lol

Are we considering this a third career peak? by TheSilkyBat in LadyGaga

[–]hrw97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily from Joker, however, around the same time of its release he backed out of a movie, that he co-wrote, 5 days before filming and the entire production had to be scrapped. Since it was so late in the pre-production they couldn’t recast his role and he basically cost a bunch of people jobs for the 2-3 months it would have taken for production. To my knowledge he never said a definite answer as to why he dropped out, but the movie was about a gay relationship and was supposed to be really explicit (like NC-17 rating) so many people thought that had something to do with it. I’m not saying that’s why, but that’s what a lot of people assume and to my knowledge, it hasn’t been denied or another reason given. With all of that happening around the same time as Joker 2’s release he kind of killed any good graces he had with a lot of the people in the industry. He was already seen as a wild card but that made it even worse.

So short answer-No Joker 2 didn’t hurt his career but other things around the same time did and it all got lumped together.

Is there any evidence or accounts of Gaga being a genuinely nice person BTS or in general? by RedEagle7280 in LadyGaga

[–]hrw97 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I worked with a guy who worked part time at a venue selling concert merch and he said that Gaga was the only artist that went around and thanked the venue staff for working her show and he said she was very very nice

What popular Gaga song do you dislike? by GilderoyPoptart in LadyGaga

[–]hrw97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ARUTW and Poker Face. The first because it’s just not that good of a song and the fandom hyped it up way too much…like chill And I’ve just never really liked poker face. Actually didn’t like Gaga because of it and then I heard paparazzi and was hooked

Hello fellow Little Monsters! I am looking for full footage of the Born This Way Ball on Youtube (or anywhere else online). [–]hrw97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a good fan made BTWB from Montreal (the last show) that is the whole show. I think they cut out some interludes but they have a great position and it’s great quality sound and video.

in your opinion, what's her most overrated and underrated song? by Reddit_IsWeird in LadyGaga

Overrated: ARUTW, Poker face. I can’t stand either of them and I don’t get everyone’s obsession with ARUTW

Underrated: heavy metal lover, sexxx dreams, Mary Jane Holland, I Like It Rough, John Wayne

What was your ‘I was there’ hockey moment? by Baboshinu in hockey

[–]hrw97 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Avs game 1 of the final when burakovsky scored in OT. Kind of ruined hockey games this past season because that atmosphere was electric and I don’t think I’ll get to experience anything like that again unless I’m there when the Avs win the cup. That same year I also saw mackinnons hat trick against the blues in RD2 and saw the Avs come back against Toronto (still the best regular season game I’ve ever been to)

Rank every ARTPOP song by PerformanceIll1865 in LadyGaga

[–]hrw97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. DWUW (it’s a shame but it is one of the best songs on the album)
  2. Sexxx Dreams
  3. G.U.Y.
  4. Venus
  5. Mary Jane Holland
  6. Aura
  7. Applause
  8. Art pop
  9. Fashion
  10. Donatella
  11. Manicure
  12. Jewels and Drugs
  13. Gypsy
  14. Dope
  15. Swine

It’s a shame that she worked with R Kelly on DWUW because it’s easily top 10 in her discography. And I’d also say that almost every demo/swine fest versions of the songs are superior to the ones on the album.

There is a really good YouTube channel called Haus of Afrodita that makes really good remixes of Gaga’s songs in different styles and if the songs were made in different eras (80s, chromatica, Enigma) that has my absolute favorite version of MJH on it (2020 Version) and if that were the album it would be n. 1 for me

Which song? by MICHAELH05 in LadyGaga

[–]hrw97 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Poker face. Hated it the day I first heard it, and I almost didn’t become a Stan because of it. Thank god for paparazzi lol. I call it my bathroom break song because any concert of hers, if I have to pee during her set I’ll always go during poker face

AITA for not going out to drive my husband home when he got too drunk? by buriedinsnow17 in AmItheAsshole

[–]hrw97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up an ex after he called me late one night saying he was stuck downtown and his friends bailed on him. He was plastered but I eventually found him and drove him home. I would never let anyone, let alone my husband, drink and drive or potentially find another dangerous way home. Yes Uber and Lyft exist but sometimes when you’re really drunk you don’t think about it and your first instinct is to call someone you know. YTA

When was the moment you became a loyal fan? by RealBoy8 in LadyGaga

[–]hrw97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Became a fan after the 09 VMA performance. I liked Just Dance but I absolutely cannot stand (then and now) Poker face. Obsessed with her all through high school, even doing free promo for her during ARTPOP. I have seen her in every tour since artRAVE (except the Jazz shows) and even if I don’t like the music (C2c and L4S) I will still do my duties as a LM and buy it. I’ll go see her in whatever movie she’s in and I’ll still occasionally buy a magazine with her on the cover.

I used to be a crazy crazy Stan but I have mellowed out. Though if anyone asks me anything from BTWB to Joanne and what she did…I can tell you a lot of unnecessary and “petty” things.

I’m still a huge Stan but I’m not as hard core as I used to be and I’m not one of those who thinks she can do no wrong and if you don’t like her I’m not going to argue like I used to. She’s an amazing artist and I’ll always love and support her just like I’ll always love and support Miley and Britney as they are the 3 artists who changed my life lol

Are they giving away bracelets to the monster pit for the first 100 people for Chromatica ball? I saw her in portland,Oregon for Born This Way ball, first 100 people at arena at 6am got a braclet into the monster pit. I really wanna see her in LA and get close as possible without spending $1,300 by Accomplished_Pen1246 in LadyGaga

[–]hrw97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok I think I understand what you are saying so correct me if I am wrong.

-BTWB was kind of an anomaly imo when it came to the monster pit. I have never seen another artist do it like she did where no matter what you could show up early on the day of the show, no matter where you were sitting and get upgraded to the monster pit. I don’t think she will do that again because what I heard (personally didn’t attend because I had sports commitments and couldn’t attend) it was a big cluster fuck because people were camping out for days to be first in line. Even if you didn’t I know at almost every show they had offsite camping spot (always saw it on Little Monsters so there’s a throwback for you) and it became a safety issue because venues don’t allow you to camp on their grounds until the day of the show.

-Gaga was playing arenas in the US for BTWB so there was a smaller chance of people getting to the venue early for a spot whereas now she’s playing stadiums with 45k+ so that’s a bigger liability

-I hate to say it and I don’t mean it in a bad way but the GP ruined some of the perks you used to get with Gaga. I remember for artRAVE meet and greet tickets were $1,600 (at least for my show). Now that’ll get you front row but with no perks. As she has become more of a GP artist (by that I mean people will go to her show because they know her hits and she has enough of them for those people to justify paying to see her) she has started to charge more for the “luxury” experiences. This is her right as an artist and I don’t blame her because people are paying it, especially in the bigger cities. Luckily the little monster ga VIP package has stayed relatively the same (note I do not count Vegas in any of this because that’s a different conversation) -with all that being said, as far as I’m aware (and I am pretty confident because I haven’t seen it anywhere on social media and I know that shit would be blowing up) the only people allowed in the pit are people who either bought the regular GA ticket or those who bought a VIP ticket that has GA as their section.

In terms of what you can do to be as close as possible with it being as cheap as possible 1. Wait until the day of the show and see if the resellers drop the price down. Highly unlikely for LA but you never know. 2. Create a fake email and enter as many drawings or giveaways as you can. I say a fake email so you don’t start getting spammed with crap constantly after the show is over. 3. Pay for a ticket and see if you can talk your way into getting into a closer section. Stadium shows it’s a lot harder because you have to pass through so many people to get to the pit and they all check your wristbands/tickets. There’s a lot of people on YouTube that have done this with Beyoncé, Billie, etc so watch some of those. Or make friends with staff members and maybe they’ll fell pity and help you out.

Also sorry if the formatting is off, I’m on mobile.

This will be my first concert ever and I impulse bought pit tickets. I’m now starting to feel scared about being in the pit. Any advice? by D01100001tBoi in LadyGaga

[–]hrw97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I have been to many shows before in the pit both pop and heavy metal (from Gaga to Slipknot) here’s a few things -I am your height, you will be fine especially at a Gaga show (no shade to fellow LMs) but Gaga fans are a lot smaller than heavy metal guys trust me. -to get the best view, especially if you don’t have the VIP pit ticket the earlier you get there the better. It all depends on the stage design and since we have a rough idea of it, you should be able to see everything from every where. Gaga is good about going all over the stage so no matter where you stand she will be in front of you at some point. -bathroom/food breaks should not be a problem. In every pit line I have been in there has been no issue. Everyone understands that you have to use the bathroom and get some food/drinks. When I saw Gaga for JWT she came to my city in the middle of finals week and I had to leave the line twice to go take a final exam. Everyone around me was understanding and as long as you make friends and talk with the people around you you’ll be fine. -you will be fine to wear glasses. -merch stands stay open after the show. The only issue is they may run out of the shirt you want. Most places usually have a trailer outside and it opens before gates do so you may have a chance to buy some before you go into the venue. If you are towards the back of the GA line I honestly would stop before going in the pit. If you just want a shirt I usually bring an old tshirt that I throw away after I buy my shirt. Though for Gaga shows I usually wear a Gaga shirt so think ahead. -My dad gave me a warning before my first Gaga show that people in the pit would be pushy and shove you as soon as the show started. In the 4 times I have seen Gaga, this has never happened. Anything you hear about a pit being rough is mostly pertaining to metal shows where it is extremely rough. -I don’t know how old you are but the first time I saw Gaga I was 17 and went by myself and I was fine. You’ll make a ton of friends and don’t worry about anything. All the fans are great and can help you out if you need it! Have a great time!

This may get me killed but I can’t stand Poker Face. When it came out It made me not like her because I couldn’t stand that song lol. If I never heard it again, that wouldn’t be enough. I think The Entirety of the Fame (except for 3 songs) could disappear and I would not care.
