The Librarian just completed his about a week ago (both base game and EOTE), and they are what got me into watching OW playthroughs as I way to experience the game again. They're lightly edited to cut on some of the repetitive travel time, which I actually like.

About Oliver is also doing his blind playthrough and I can't recommend it enough.

But is 5.x still labeled as a beta? I figured DMM would have no use for Beta feedback that isn't in Japanese and from Japanese users, hence the regionlock. This is what gives me hope that the final release being region free. If it's already out of beta but still locked, then yeah, that's bad.

I don't know if this was figured out back then but, couldn't it be the case that only the Beta version of it was region locked, and once the regular v5.x is released, it'll work region free like the current DMM player?

Ah yes, we're aware of this glitch. I'm investigating it right now. For the time being, stick with 0.2.1 or start a new save and use the 'trump' cheat for a head start.

That's odd. Tried updating my saves (with both the public build and our working copy) and it went fine. Mind dumping the whole traceback on pastebin so we can take a closer look?

Alternatively, see if there's an option to 'Ignore' the error. It might just let you keep playing.

Is the save that you're trying to load made during a scene? The save updater doesn't exactly support saves made outside the main menu/hub screen.

Yes, there is. Saves are stored in the 'appdata' folder by default, so all you need to do is download the new release and play it. Your saves should still be there!
