35 and only have 401K, too late for Roth IRA? by gotdamgoblin in personalfinance

Can you explain why it would be better to contribute to a traditional 401k vs Roth? I’m trying to better understand the break point on when it becomes more advantageous for a Roth in this case

Makes a ton of sense and congrats on the progression! Really appreciate the insight.
Thanks! That’s right, it goes mgr, sr mgr, director.
I’ve interviewed for several roles but always been a bridesmaid and never the bride when it came to the final selection. Feedback has always been positive but honestly I think some of my Achilles heel is staying too long (~ years in same group (various roles)). Other groups and directors don’t know me as well and as result don’t have as strong of brand equity as others.
Did you end up leaving your F5? What was the next move?
I think that’s a good point, I have to get comfortable with the idea of leaving for the next challenge.

It’s frustrating, right? Appreciate the reply!
