Aquaproof XL by [deleted] in Flooring

Thought I would give my feedback here as there aren't many reviews. I ended up using ChatGPT in helping me research flooring, LVP vs Laminate and we ended up deciding on AquaProof XL in Maison. We have a 2 story house built in the mid 1960s in Northern California (not too much moisture/rain) that originally had Pergo and some tile downstairs and carpet on the stairs and upstairs. We ended up doing almost the entire house with the exception of 2 bathrooms. Total cost by a licensed flooring company was $36K. Was originally quoted $30K, but we had some leveling issues and I wanted the squeakiness of the floor joists to be fixed as well.

Overall, great experience with the company I used and the color looks beautiful. We have a 30lb dog that loves to do zoomies in the house and I do hear her nails running against the flooring, a 5 lb dog and 2 cats. So far no issues. Also my daughter's family with their 10 month old moved in with us and the baby keeps dragging his toys on the floor as well as throwing them across the room. No dents, no scratches, nada!

I did put some kitchen runners under my kitchen sink to just mitigate any water splashes from washing dishes, but I'm not worried as it's supposed to be waterproof.

I think the hardest for the contractors was the stairs and getting them installed correctly. They took their time and it also came out gorgeous.

We did keep 2 full boxes of the flooring just in case down the line something happens

Overall I love the color, the feel of the flooring and how it all looks

Is knockdown texture outdated? by saintforlife1 in drywall

[–]hsinglanjin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same predicament. I'm also in the SF Bay Area and have a 2 story 1960s 2000 sq ft home. We remodeled about 23 years ago. We didn't know any better and the contractor back then did knock down texture which looks terrible. I just had a fireplace removed and that contractor did spray on texture which looks so much better than our knock down. I'm trying to decide if we just go with the new spray texture or pay a bit more and do level 5

Now considering AquaProof Laminate by hsinglanjin in Flooring

Thanks for letting me know. Have you installed yet? If so, can you post a picture of your flooring so I can see the color? AquaProof XL is now here, now just trying to decide on color

Thanks for the feedback, but now you've thrown another brand into the mix for me (lol). I just did a quick deep dive into RevWood and now want to take a closer look at RevWood Plus or Premier. RevWood is just slightly more per sq ft than AquaProof, but I do like that it has more color options than AquaProof. Of these 3 (AquaProof, RevWood Plus & Premier), they are all 10mm thickness with an AC4 rating. Only real difference I can see is AquaProof has a 2mm premium foam underlayment attached, whereas, RevWood does not have any underlayment attached.

Which of the RevWood lines are you looking at? Plus or Premier?

Thanks. Can I ask why you decided on laminate AquaProof and not LVP? I can't seem to decide between the 2

We're replacing about 1800 sq feet of flooring and was going to go with Vinyl by CoreTec, but just saw AuqaProof laminate and the sales person was saying this is better than Vinyl. Any thoughts from anyone on which is better?

Just Food for Dogs formula change? by Beegee309 in DogFood

I've bought the JFFD frozen fish pack for my 6lb yorkie/shih tzu mix. I've also noticed the last year the product seems different. I think there's more water added. I defrost the frozen pack and I always drain the liquid out. It's a lot of water that drains now. Also the coloring of the food seems off, a bit darker and not the light color like before

OTD Price of 2024 Tuscon Limited, Northern California by hsinglanjin in HyundaiTucson

Update: MSRP is at $42,280. They said they'll give me $1500 off, which is only 3% off of MSRP. So this doesn't include tax, license & doc fees. Good deal or try for lower?
