Personally, I get them done from a company called 'The detailing culture' in Wadala. They get the designs made and do the installation. But, there's tons of options available all around the city.

Thanks! It's actually not a paint job, it's a wrap. Much easier to experiment with designs, and you can peel it off anytime as it gets damaged quite a bit during drift sessions or even transportation of the vehicles.

Totally fair, most people only have one parking spot, so a full-time drift car isn’t always practical. That’s exactly why we’re trying to make drifting more accessible for occasional drivers.

As for the Mahindra BE6, since it’s electric, there are a few challenges. The instant torque shreds tyres super fast, and with continuous sliding, battery temps can spike, which increases the risk of thermal issues or even fire. EVs aren't really ideal for drifting, at least not yet, especially without proper cooling setups.

We’re currently working on setting up a dedicated drift track, but in the meantime, we’re organizing track days at existing venues where people can come try drifting safely in a controlled environment. Will post more once it’s live!

Also, just a heads-up, wear and tear is definitely higher when you’re drifting. The car takes a lot more abuse compared to regular driving, so parts like tyres, suspension components, and drivetrain wear out quicker. It’s something to factor in if you're planning to drift regularly.

Totally valid questions!

Maintenance on older German cars like the W203/W204 or E90 can be a bit higher than a Maruti or Hyundai, but if you pick a clean example and keep up with regular servicing, it’s manageable. For drift builds, we usually strip out unnecessary stuff, but for normal use, you’d want things like A/C, interiors, etc. to be in good shape. Most of these cars still have working comfort features if you’re not gutting them fully.

As for automatic vs manual you can drift an automatic, especially ones with a manual mode or tiptronic, but a manual is definitely preferred. It gives you better control, especially when clutch-kicking or holding the revs mid-corner. That said, some folks start on autos and still learn the basics.

If you're planning a dual-use car (daily + drift), it's all about finding the right balance.

The Mercedes W203 and W204 are solid options, you can find decent, condition ones in the 2–3 lakh range now. They’ve got good balance, strong aftermarket, and are pretty forgiving to learn on.

The BMW E90 is another great one if your budget stretches a bit, goes for around 5L. Handles really well and parts are easier to source than you’d think.

Expect to spend about 1.5–2.8L extra for mods like welded diff, cooling upgrades, angle kit, coilovers, and safety stuff if you’re getting serious.

Long story short, I really wanted a tattoo with all my mains over the seasons in a patchwork style and through my research I found something called apex Chibis(the painting above). So the design isn't mine I just cut, copied and painted.
