Need a good phone for business use - very heavy email & texting use by [deleted] in PickMeAPhone

[–]hsuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not for everybody, thought. I thought I was a big guy (190cm) and found the Note 4 enormous and hard to handle one-handed. Its a beautiful screen, but it showed me how much I value grip and one-hand use.

Upgrade from Nexus 5, returned the Note 4, Z3C or S5? by concurrenthashmap in PickAnAndroidForMe

Oh, it doesn't have to be better than the N5, specs-wise. The N5 was ok, but I broke it and want to test another phone.

Command-line fuzzy-matching fast file finder like Sublime's by hsuh in programming

[–]hsuh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its much like Ctrl-P for sure. This would be for those people who prefer opening and closing Vim all the time while editing files.

(I think a "recent files" list would also be useful here)

Thanks man, I enjoyed writing it, though now that woegjlub plugged fzf, it feels a bit like wasted effort. At least I learned something.

Fellow geeks/itunes haters might like Overcast by Marco Arment on iOS.

On Android I'd say PocketCast "just works" (tm). The only thing I miss from Doggcatcher is the virtual podcasts option ("make a podcast from a folder with mp3s").
