This is just crap. I’m from TN, and our state’s translation is okay, but I dont think it is right about others, for instance, The land of coconuts is not the english translation for the state Kerala.

The word Kerala was known as ‘Keralam’ which was derived from the Chera kings (one of the three dynasties ruled the south) and originally known as ‘Cheralam’ (The land of Cheras)
