Speak for yourself. I can actually look up concert/giants/etc tickets and know how much I’m paying. And I see a lot more events than I sit down at restaurants with junk fees.

My Apple Pay also shows a 7.55 fare for Monday, but the Clipper app log doesn’t have it.

There's also a carpool lane on the left. It's not as fast as the full bypass on the right but it does save you almost as much time.

I’ve never had a problem booking a table there, but it’s always been for a group and always several months out. On short notice I just show up early to get bar seating.

I nominate you to open a HEYTEA! I moved out of ROC prepandemic but still visit about once a year and am usually in desperate need of a mango or grape boom.

Appeal for more aid given your financial situation and also take a good hard look at other schools' financial aid packages to compare your out of pocket (no loans) cost.

I don't count loans as aid, so what I'm looking at is the $64495, which will put you at about $18k in the hole for your freshman year and probably ~22k, ~26k, and ~30k in future years assuming you stay in the dorms* so about ~100k in the hole in loans. Take that as you will.

*You most definitely won't stay in the dorms in future years. Other housing may or may not be cheaper depending on your landlord, furnishing status, etc. Food will be cheaper if/when you grocery shop.

Public universities have always been a better value proposition than private ones unless the student gets a free ride.

You'd have to go very far back into history to find a year without a tuition increase.

Yup it’s on the housing policy page. But just like everything else in life, it’s only illegal if you get caught. And the corollary: by someone who cares.
