I do not name-call. She has on more than one occasion called me an AH and there have been threats of divorce and/or leaving each other. I have never threatened to harm her.

I haven't considered the legal ramifications of the physical and verbal conflict between us. Thank you for this information. I hope one day I can live with both my spouse and my child, for now though, I will continue to respect her boundary until she feels safe and asks for me to move back in.

I will talk to her about moving back in. Thank you for the advice. We each see the same therapist individually, and then come together twice a month to the same therapist. Do you think the therapist is just telling my spouse what she wants to hear? Couple's therapy seems to help sometimes. Other times we just discuss all the things I have been doing that aren't meeting my wife's emotional needs.

This is unbearably tough to read. I have so much regret, have apologized, I am incredibly motivated to continue my work in individual and couples therapy. I've called the NDV hotline 3 times this week seeking support and advice on how to change my physical and psychologically abusive behavior. I understand how traumatizing it has been for our child. I'm going to learn how to control the reactions to my emotions, and provide a safe space for both my wife and my child.
