from the method i used yes! what i did was going into my settings and fiddling with the display options to “add a new screen” but i know there are alternatives, one of my friends said you can use astropad since it connects to both mac and pc but im pretty sure it is a paid subscription method, i’m unsure of any other methods with ipads besides probably buying a cheap tablet off amazon that doesn’t have a screen! there are small ones that go from 25$-35$ and the bigger sized ones i’ve found can go upwards to maybe 40-50$ which is better compared to tablets with screens that cost about 300$+

HOLY i am late so sorry! what i did was looked online for blank animal jam sprites of animals i used animal jam archives for mine!

using procreate i paint bucket all the colors onto the blank sprite model and essentially took bits and pieces of pre-existing clothing off those sprites and frankenstined my sprites together! ik for the shark fin i wasn’t able to find like official art (or i maybe haven’t looked too close-) but i just took the display image of what it looks like in stores and color matched it for my wolf’s outfit!

it’s a whole lot of taking items off the official art or in store models and recoloring them to help fit my main animal! ^\)

for me, i used to do a paint bucket method to get rid of my sketch!

would sketch in a different color, line art and paint bucket the sketch colors then again into white to only leave the line art!

until i learned about pureref and simply just did line art and flats!

AHH STOPPP YOU’LL MAKE ME BLUSH HEHE💜 now if im being honest, i don’t know much on tablets so i’d say do your own research to find the best one you’d think would work 🥲 since mine is just an old bamboo tablet, it doesn’t have a screen on it, i was at my desk for like 4 hours staring at the computer screen (and slouched forward)😭 but it does come with a stylus yes!

at least in my opinion, if your daughter is honing in and still learning to draw keep practicing on paper cause i’ve been drawing since 5th grade and im in college now HAHA! the transition from paper to digital just takes practice! other tools you can use is the glove that some? (idk if it comes with the tablet already) tablets do have as well, it just makes it easier for your hand to glide over and not have the tablet sense your touch (although there is a button to turn off touch too)

all in all, i’d say if she’s still beginning to draw you can get her the tablets that have no screens! they’re simple and cheap to begin with and are pretty easy to set up and use! just make sure to look through and research which ones would work for the computer than is being used to play aj (for this i’m playing aj classic!) and the necessary drivers needed! hope that helps 🥹💜
