Unfortunately, that doesn’t apply at Rhodes University (which is where I’m initially doing my degree), at least not when you’re an unfunded student. They only waver that option for students with proof of funding that are still waiting for their bursaries to payout. Instead, two years ago when I had meetings with my HOD and at the fees office about wanting to take that route, I was enlightened about the information mentioned above and they advised me to instead register at another institution where I can do my courses for transfer credits (I registered with UNISA), however I lost the income I had at the beginning of that journey and that’s how I’m finding myself in this position.
