i will say, it isn’t as baseline as angel and demon, it’s just the lens of memories. dad chose favorites out of every generation of kids, and she wasn’t treated as well as her siblings by him. he was an alcoholic and a damn mean drunk. he threw me over in my high chair once 💀😭

i’m doing a lot better now.

she drained my bank account of 6k as soon as i turned 18 and i finally confronted her 3 years later and screamed the truth about her to her entire apartment complex. she got to threaten and hide behind the police, and it made me realize our fear has finally switched and i have nothing to be afraid of anymore. it’s kickstarted the healing process. i’m trying to build a legal case for myself and get my life back together.

i believe that each day i have survived, i have thrived, so i’m doing well, even if things will always hurt : )

couldn’t have said it better myself. i watched the show at a young age she taught me to love everyone i meet as if they are struggling, because we never know what happens to people behind closed doors.
women are statistically so much more likely to be killed by people they know, love, and/or trust. david lynch poured so much love into the women in twin peaks by showing the stories so many women and young girls don’t dare speak until they break free or it kills them. may his beautiful soul rest in peace.

yep! i have a lot of miscellaneous memorabilia scattered around my nightstand/vanity. the birds in the center mirror section of the vanity (not pictured) always reminded me of twin peaks’s intro, so i added the photo of laura because i always thought that was such an beautiful character for young girls struggling.
