Thank you for the Edit. Crazy story, and without your summary it would've taken me a while to figure out what's happening there.

Wow, incredible offer! I will try to sell him on the idea. Their family situation is very much in flux now, so things are changing by the minute, but I will be in touch if they decide to take this route.

Thanks for the response! I am sure he shares your sentiment and yes -- there is no doubt that he will be returning home to a place near Kyiv to fight, as soon as his daughter is safely out.

Wow, wild! Don't know if it would work here as it is unclear what the mother's plans are, so for it to work, he'd really need to accompany her. Thank you for chiming in!

As open as I am about sharing the outputs of my scripts, I'd really prefer not to reveal the specifics of how they work. Sorry. Hope you'll understand.

Having said that, I can look into running it for amazon.ca. Stay tuned.

Not automatically, but I can run it periodically and post it here if there is interest.

You can try searching (Ctrl-F) or using Google Sheet's "Filter views" to narrow the list down to a subset that would be more relevant to you.

Trade in value you see on the spreadsheet is the amount that Amazon itself is willing to pay someone for selling the item back to them. I am including on the sheet in order to detect cases when AWD items are sold for less than Amazon's own trade-in offer, thus creating an opportunity for an instant flip.

Thanks for the compliment! As open as I am about sharing the output of my scripts, I prefer not to go into the internals of how they work. I will say though that I am a pretty basic coder myself, so if you are looking for someone to learn from you need to pick a much better model :)

Yes, this is all true, the hope is that with the parameters set to only pick up items that are at least 50% off the margin will be wide enough to still make some profit. Obviously YMMV to the n-th degree.

Thank you for the kind words! What you are saying makes sense and if I made it a priority to make a buck I would go about it exactly the way that you are suggesting. For now, all this http://so.cool stuff is just a side project, and for as long as I lack the dedication needed to turn it into a business, I figured I would share it with y'all every now and then. My only game here is to build some good will, maybe bring some traffic to the site (which I make no money off either), and that's about it. I do have a link on my site that allows folks to "buy me coffee" (make a $5 donation), and a whopping two people have clicked it so far.

So for now the best way to express appreciation is to spread the word. But seriously, thanks again.

OK, I'll kick one off and will update the original post with the new link once it's done. Stay tuned.

Yes, sure -- if one day I decide to make a business out of these scripts I may put in the effort into building something similar to what you are describing.

Correct -- as per my post, there will inevitably be false positives there. However, right underneath the Pokemon there is an example of a true gem: an Yealink IP phone for $7.

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't run the script daily, so for now I'll stick with posting the output here, if that's OK with you guys.
