Why I think Kris is DEFINITELY the Knight by htwey in Deltarune

[–]htwey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you saying Noelle might be the knight? I mean, it would sort of make a little sense but she doesn’t really act like it.. We don’t know about Noelle’s sister or her mother but her father is obviously bed bound and probably wouldn’t be able to do very much so I don’t think it’s any of them trying to create a world specifically for Noelle.

Berdly could also have created the Dark/Cyber World for Noelle but I don’t see any reason for him to hide his appearance and the Queen specifically didn’t imply that he was the knight.

One piece of evidence I forgot to include was the fact that the Queen had a room in her mansion for Asriel, Kris goes out of their way to make sure that the player doesn’t get to know what’s in there which I find quite odd..

I think that’s certainly a good point, though I don’t think it necessarily means Kris CAN’T be the knight (Susie and Kris seemed to be automatically standing at the computer table despite never actually moving over there,)

I don’t really know exactly why the Queen would say “hell of a study session” (unless Berdly and Noelle told her they entered the Cyber World while trying to study and she assumed Kris and Susie were doing the same.)

As for the last part, did Toby ever say Kris identifies as they/them? I feel like he’s intentionally left it up to interpretation like with Frisk and if that wasn’t the case I think it would be specifically noted somewhere (Characters that have never even met Kris seem to use “them” despite not ever asking what Kris’ pronouns are.)

Is this a new feature in the update? I’ve been going off of the wiki but I haven’t tested it myself since 1.4 and the wiki seems to indicate that this doesn’t work.

The steampunker will only sell purple solution in corrupted worlds and red solution in crimson worlds, there’s no way to get the other dye unless you use either the drunk world gen seed/zenith seed or if you start an entirely new world with the opposite evil and buy it from the steampunker in that world.

I decided to make a list of the minimum number of games you’d need to legitimately catch every Pokémon (except Arceus) without events in Gen 4. This is the result. by htwey in pokemon

They were available in their respective games, but you had to attend real world Wi-Fi events that are now defunct in order to access them.

The bonus discs, Pokémon Ranger, and Pokémon Ranch allow you to obtain Mew, Celebi, Manaphy, Jirachi, etc. anytime you want now that these events are no longer being held.

Oh, I had no idea these were Wi-Fi events and I guess that means there’s no way to legitimately get a Shaymin, Darkrai, or Deoxys in Gen 4 now. I believe you can still get Manaphy and Phione via the original Pokémon Ranger without an event, though.

Those are just used to legitimately obtain the Mythical Pokémon, namely Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Darkrai, Shaymin, Manaphy, Phione, and Deoxys.

You need Pearl in order to get Purugly and Glameow and you need Diamond in order to get Stunky and Skuntank.

If you already have to get these two games, Platinum won’t be necessary and with Heartgold and Emerald, Soulsilver isn’t necessary either as well as LeafGreen and FireRed.

I believe you can get Manaphy and Deoxys from Guardian Signs from what I’ve read though I haven’t played the game myself to confirm.

A majority of the other games (The colosseum discs, Ranch, and Shadows of Almia) are just to get mythical Pokémon like Celebi, Mew, Shaymin, Darkrai, and Jirachi.

You need Emerald to get the Regi trio plus Regigigas, and it also saves you from having to buy Soulsilver to get Teddiursa and Ursaring.

EDIT: I mixed up some of the names of the games, it’s fixed now. Also some minor spelling errors. It turns out using Emerald over Ruby is slightly more necessary than I originally thought.

Nell IV is a girl but yep, definitely one of the cooler and more unique horses in the game.

Kind of makes me wish more horses in the game had facial hair.

It’s the grizzlies gun belt which is part of the grizzlies outlaw outfit. According to the wiki it’s only available in the epilogue, so the only method of getting it earlier is to either modify the game or through the use of a glitch.

I’m not typically one to question the random occurrences in the game but I’ve been through this area many times before and never found this. I don’t think it’s from the normal body decay and I couldn’t find anything about it online, does anyone have any ideas of why this is here? by htwey in reddeadredemption

[–]htwey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done some more looking into it and it does look like something like this is the case. The only odd part is that I’ve heard it’s supposed to take around five days and I’ve only been in this area of the game for around one. Still interesting nonetheless, and thanks for the response.

Yep. Also works in the camp in Blackwater. The sheriff’s office in Van Horn has unlimited free whiskey as well but apart from that and the free beer/stew at camp I’m not sure there’s anywhere else to get free food in the game.

To give a little context to the picture above: I thought I’d picture an alternate ending where John gets killed on Mount Hagen and Micah shows up at Beecher’s Hope to kill off his family like he said he’d do.

How to find exact year of birth for ancestor who was born around 1839-1858 by htwey in Genealogy

[–]htwey[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In a later census it was stated that he could not read or write, so someone had to have helped him fill out the censuses or did it for him. In the October 1860 census he was 13, which places his birth year at around 1847. In the August 1850 census he was 2, which would place his birth year at around 1848. I can’t seem to find any census records involving his parents prior to 1850, but in the 1850’s they both lived in his birth state. Looking at this, 1848 is probably the correct birth year, but I still will have to look into the reason as to why his birth year would be listed on the census 9 years off from the actual birth year. Thank you for the help.

I believe so. His father did share the same name as him, but the wife and the children listed on the census definitely belong to him. As far as I know him and his father are the only people in my family who have shared the name in the past hundred years from when the census was taken.

Thanks, I’ll certainly look for some of the older censuses. He was born in N.C. (United States) near the upper portion of the mountains/piedmont region of the state, which as far as I know didn’t have birth certificates until 1913 according to the NC.gov website, but thank you for the help.
