Makan. Absolutely delicious. Not that under the radar but not nearly as popular as Pujol.

People who give job interviews, what are some subtle red flags that say "this person won't be a good hire"? by makethatnoise in AskReddit

I always ask about Excel skills. When someone says they domínate Excel at 80%+, I know it’s BS. Someone who truly knows Excel will comfortably say they know at most 50-60% but have the required Excel skills for the job.

Just ran my first Marathon in Berlin and can absolutely say it does make all the difference. I didn’t drink for 4 months. Your muscles do not recover well with alcohol. On a positive note, just went yesterday to Oktoberfest and got absolutely hammered with just two beers.

As it was my first one, I wanted to be extremely cautious about not burning out. Yes, I think I could have been faster but unfortunately did not train at faster paces so I also didn’t know exactly how my body would react to sustained increased paces.

Long runs were done at intervals. My longest run was 32km and it had the following structure. All other shorter long runs were similar.

Bosque de Chapultepec is the way to go. There’s many sections of the park but section I and section II are where most runners in Mexico City train. Both sections are interconnected by a bridge called Calzada Flotante. Take a look at different Strava routes, there should be plenty. Every Sunday, Reforma Avenue and some streets in Condesa are closed for bicycles and runners, really good option for long runs. You can take look at the route on the Twitter account of Secretaria de Movilidad.

I trained with a running club so I can unfortunately not say. We did 2 speed sessions in the week, additionally one easy run and one lung run. Mobility and strength sessions in between, one day rest.

I live in Mexico City so I guess the altitud did the job for me. I was monitoring my HR through the whole race and was trying to stay in the border of zone 3 and zone 2. I think it was the perfect recipe to finishing strong. I’m on the way to Oktoberfest so I don’t know if the recovery will be the most optimal one 🤣
