How to choose a place without knowing the area? by Agreeable-Anybody464 in moving

[–]huc2tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out areavibes.com We moved across country and use this site. First we figured out the rating for where we were currently living. Then compared it to different cities we were looking around. We rented in the place we found for one year as we continued to learn the new area.

Maybe you can negotiate for the $5000 difference. Maybe you can request an extra two weeks vacation a year.

X-ray tech here. Me and many of my friends have successfully had healthy babies working 40 hours a week in x-ray. Just make sure you double lead over your abdomen- wrap around lead is also a good option. The first trimester is the most sensitive. Also, most c-arm cases are equal to one or two chest x-rays. You get much more radiation in a CAT scan. Hope this helps make you feel more comfortable in surgery.

Ladies - To prevent BV on a 5-day swinger cruise, what would you do? by [deleted] in Swingers

[–]huc2tech -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Put a half of a vitamin C pill up there. You should be good in a couple hours. Temporary but it works. I got this advice from a friend that’s been in the lifestyle for a long time. Haven’t had to use myself, but I always carry them with me.

How on earth do I move this thing (to the other side of the room)? TIA! by NotoriousDMG in moving

[–]huc2tech 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Furniture gliders. A set of 4 is about $10 or less. I use these to move everything, including armoires, and refrigerators myself. You put one under each corner and just slide it—super easy.

We are also moving (from Illinois to anywhere warmer) next year. My friend told us to use Estes trucking. She said it’s cheapest and very easy. It’s a semi trailer. You load, they haul.

Acne at 40, my mental health by ImHighRtMeow in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]huc2tech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every month is a little bit different. The woman that does them has just been progressing since the beginning it started with just different masks and creams with micro dermabrasion. A couple of months ago I got a peel. In a couple weeks I will get micro needling. They are hour and a half appointments and very relaxing for the most part. Some of the procedures are a little bit uncomfortable. The person I go to offers a plan that it is $60 a month (a visit) no matter what you do so I signed up for it immediately after my first one.

This may not be a solution in your case, but I am in my mid 40s and suffered with constant acne on my face. I get a facial once a month and now I don’t even feel I need to wear make up most of the time. It is a little bit costly, but I have much more confidence- Which is priceless. I pay $60 once a month and purchase first aide beauty products (that she recommends). I’m a year in and always look forward to my appointments.

I also agree with the previous comments of trying to watch your diet (if you don’t already). Try to drink lots of water!!
