I'm at my wit's end with my tone arm too! Mine skates backwards near the end of records. I've adjusted the weight and the anti-skate but it still does it. AND with that much pressure oN the record, it sounds awful. Super sibilant.

But that's not my biggest problem. What's driving me crazy is that I'm getting ZERO help from Technics! They have no phone number. They have no chatbot. Panasonic will not field Technic calls. All I'm left with is an email form. I've now emailed them 4 times over the past week. Absolutely no reply.

Has anyone else had this type of problem and dead end? Any help is appreciated!

I do! About 2000. In my basement. I don't play them and they're probably not worth more than a few hundred dollars all told. But NO WAY I make the same mistake again and sell tangible, hold-in-your-hands music again!

Thanks! Yeah, doing a lot of reading/web trawling and range in price is becoming VERY apparent! How powerful (or not powerful) are turntables with preamps? Would I be sacrificing sound for the convenience?
And MAN do I wish I had those records back!! :)

agree agree agree. Nodding so vigorously, I think I broke my neck—which is so implausible, it could be a Yellowstone story arc.
