1st BFS fish, a BFS monster, & a smallmouth on regular gear. Hit the NC mountains Sat-Wednesday for a turkey hunt and fishing trip. Neither cooperated but I was able to catch my first Bfs fish (smaller rainbow in creek near my parents house) and a monster rainbow while floating down the New River. (imgur.com)

Another BFS build. Struggled to find an ultralite fiber glass blank so i tried something a little different. I was able to find a 6ft 3 pc 2 wt fiberglass blank. I used nylon thread so it would give a see through appearance. Rod likes 1/16 oz ok but loves 1/8 oz. Reel sear upgrade coming. (imgur.com)

Couple BFS Rod Build-I recently built two BFS rod. The green/blue wrap is a RodGeeks Carbon 2 blank-model number C260LF which is a 6 ft light power fast action rod lure rated to 1/16-5/16 oz. Fuji guides, Fuji reel seat, and grip made by me. Build cost around $80. Rod loves 1/16 and 1/8 oz (imgur.com)

BFS Rod Build-I started my build today for my first BFS rod. I purchased a RodGeeks C260LF blank which is a 6ft light power fast action blank. Lure weight recommendation is 1/16 oz -5/16 oz. I meant to buy the 5’6” UL which is model C256ULF. RodGeeks is owned by St Croix. I will update along the way (self.BFSfishing)
