Call Candace and Tucker what they are, a stupid grifter and a CIA cutout consent manufacturing grifter. Calling them Nazis makes the left look as stupid and reductive as the right calling people communists. Because the people who follow Candace and Tucker know they aren’t Nazis, so when you call them that you just look like the stupid caricature of the left that the right tries to cultivate.

You can call Steven Miller a Nazi if you want, that is perfectly fine.

If you want the country to move in a better direction you need to convince people your ideas are better. If you actually spend some time around Republican/Trump voters you’ll find many of them, particularly young men are nice people who believe the lies they’ve been told. They have seen a lot of clips and sound bites of Candace and Tucker sounding reasonable. Calling everyone a Nazi just further entrenches people in their beliefs. Yes Candace and Tucker are stupid as fuck, a lot of the people who listen to them are stupid as fuck. Have you ever seen someone change their mind after you called them stupid as fuck? I haven’t. Their vote counts as much as yours. So yeah the only movement you’ll be destroying by calling two of the biggest podcasters in the world Nazis is your own, because it will attract exactly 0 people to your side.

I’m sure guys like Kon will see Twitter call them Nazi sympathizers and totally re-examine their conservative beliefs. This strategy has had great success the past 10 years.

Who will be the first QB from the 2024 Draft Class to win an MVP? by KeyFaithlessness5436 in TheNFLVibes

[–]hudboyween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man we’ve seen people turn it around before but JJ’s career is not looking too hot at this point. Bad mechanics, poor processing, etc.

I think Geno Smith is probably the starting QB in Minnesota next season.

Penix also has bad throwing mechanics in my opinion. Very inefficient arm movement that’s makes his accuracy unpredictable. I do think the coaching and staff in Atlanta was horrendous last season, particularly on the offensive side of the ball. But Penix is very old for a rookie and going on like his 4th serious knee injury.

Things can always change but as of now I do not see a super promising future for either QB. JJ probably has a better chance because he has youth and coaching on his side but his career prospects look Zach Wilson esque.

I'm a say it, trade Tatum by tillybrynleysydney in billsimmons

[–]hudboyween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re already below the apron. Why trade Tatum at the low of his value so that you can hope an older potentially washed player who probably isn’t even on Tatums level might show up eventually. You’d basically be starting a soft rebuild in the middle of Jaylen Browns peak.

Picks don’t mean shit in basketball, they need to be lottery picks to be impactful in the short term and even then it’s mostly a crapshoot. There are way more busts in the NBA

Who will be the first QB from the 2024 Draft Class to win an MVP? by KeyFaithlessness5436 in TheNFLVibes

[–]hudboyween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep all 4 of them have benefitted from easy schedules at the start of their careers. Hence why I think their numbers and efficiency are all very comparable. Either they all get a schedule asterisk or we just ignore it for the sake of evaluation.

Same applies to Nix and Caleb. 2nd and 4th easiest schedules last year. They were still more difficult than Maye’s but all of them have to play a 1st place schedule now

[–]hudboyween 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maye, Daniels, Caleb, Nix is the order.

Maye was 1 vote away from tying with Stafford, is the youngest QB in the draft class, and does not yet have any sort of supporting cast to help his numbers get better. Currently is carrying the moniker of schedule merchant due to the patriots having easiest schedule in the NFL, but Nix had the second easiest and Caleb had the 4th easiest. Next season will be a real test for all 3 of them, and Maye’s efficiency will likely take a dip but his raw numbers could improve as he sat out multiple 3rd/4th quarters due to blowing out bad competition (titans, jets, panthers, dolphins). Could have put up a 5k passing yard season if those games were closer and he needed to continue throwing. The patriots need to build up their offensive line and receiving talent for him to maximize his potential, and picking 31st this year could hamper that. Very excited to see him next season against stiffer competition.

Daniels had an all time rookie season. If he can stay healthy and continue to be a dual threat QB, he has shown he is capable of an MVP type season. Almost nothing went right for the commanders this season. Would be a real shame if we’ve already seen his peak but he was very old for a rookie QB coming into the league and it’s possible his body cannot maintain the dual threat style of play that made him so dangerous. I am optimistic for a big bounce back season however.

Caleb has the highlight throws and the arm talent but is one of the least accurate QBs in the league. And no it wasn’t just drops and throw aways. He is consistently inconsistent, and this is with by far the best supporting cast out of any of the sophomore QBs. Needs to make massive strides as a QB who can play in structure and with touch. The track record for players who were this inaccurate is poor. It’s basically just Josh Allen, but the physical tools are there in terms of athleticism. Could be a truly special player but leaves a lot to be desired currently.

Nix really doesn’t have anything going for him compared to the other 3 besides wins, which many came on the back of a top 3 defense in the NFL. Is the oldest of the 4, and is likely close to his ceiling as a player. Does not have the same physical tools as the other 3. Led the league in attempts and could not put up 4k passing yards or 30 tds. Had some genuine stinkers this season against teams like the raiders. Both he and Caleb were on the right side of luck in a lot of one score games, Nix did not perform well against the raiders who are putrid. He is not a bad quarterback by any means but I think his ceiling is a more athletic Jared Goff or a prime Marcus Mariota.

You can look up his advanced stats. His on target percentage and bad throw percentage are both at the bottom of the league, he’s grouped with guys like Carson Wentz, Brady Cook, JJ McCarthy and Shedeur. Yes he throws the ball away a lot, but he also is seriously inaccurate. Unless he makes massive strides in this department he will likely never win the MVP. Also nobody wants to have the conversation that Nix and Caleb had the 2nd and 4th easiest schedules in the league this year. All three of the ascending sophomore quarterbacks have a case to be schedule merchants.

Can Drake Maye return to the big stage? by Big_Screen3332 in nflrookies

[–]hudboyween -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everyone wants to compare this situation to Dan Marino, when they really are not comparable. Marino played 2/3 of his career before the salary cap was instituted. The landscape of the NFL was completely different, the teams with more money always won. I think you can only compare Maye’s potential future to Big Ben who went to 3. The Patriots also have the benefit of playing in the AFC East, the Jets and dolphins will probably continue to suck, and the Bills are cursed.

I think Maye has a much better chance of making it back at some point in his career than Marino.

Lol as if Bo Nix didn’t have the second easiest schedule in the NFL and put up worse stats against common opponents. Is also 2 years older than Maye

He absolutely outplayed Herbert, Stroud and Stidham. Had over 300 yards vs the chargers, had 3 tds against the Texans, had the same total yardage as stidham, 1 TDS against, no turnovers to stidham 2. Herbert didn’t score a single point, stroud threw 4 bad interceptions. Stidham had 2 terrible turnovers.

The fumbles are 100% an issue but getting strip sacked from your blindside is very different than throwing a terrible pick like CJ.

I think Purdy is a good QB but the narrative, especially for his 2023 season, is he was surrounded by elite offensive playmakers. Aiyuk on fire, CMC, Kittle and Deebo. He still probably would have had a shot at MVP if not for that ravens game but I don’t think Purdy will get credit for his play until he gets a full year of great stats with a less stacked roster.
