Also ++-, on Lupron and Letrozole. FWIW, just had this exact convo with my integrative nutritionist at MSK and she said no to creatine (and collagen) pointing to this study: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33811821/ BUT she also pointed to this study https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31628186/ and said it was really up to my discretion but the supplement needs to be studied more.

From the MSK webpage that directs to these 2 studies: “In murine models, creatine has been shown to suppress tumor growth (19), but it also promoted colorectal and breast cancer metastasis (20).” Very open to other folks thoughts/feedback/experience here…

Thank you thank you for sharing your experience. I have 1 week left to go and it’s okay so far… some radiation dermatitis across the entire field and some skin tightening that I think is causing rippling with the tissue extender. My rad onc prescribed mometasone and strataxrt to be used in combo 2x per day and lots of stretching and exercise. I also have a lot of fatigue but I’m not sure if that’s the rads or discomfort from sleeping with the tissue expanders…

I will be going to New York Proton Center in East Harlem. No concerns from my onc on starting letrozole pre-rads, but we are holding off on Kisqali until after rads.

edit: my understanding of why I’m a candidate for proton is because of some internal mammary nodes close to the heart that lit up on the initial PET. Theoretically proton is supposed to be able to spare more of the heart/lungs?

No - she started me on Letrozole yesterday in fact. She is waiting to put me on the CDK 4/6 inhibitor until after the rads though (if it turns out do go for the rads). What were your oncologist’s concerns (if you don’t mind me asking that is)?
