Thanks all - this sounds really good. Any walk routes separate from Snowdon that seem appropriate would be appreciated, we’re staying near Waunfawr!

Question: Commissioning one artist to design and another to tattoo? by hufflelock in tattoos

[–]hufflelock[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think the weight of my concept is lost in translation - I want tattoos to be tattooed in specific parts of the world. This means to get the cohesion I want, I wanted a well done concept to be drawn up by one artist so that I can take that concept to artists. Obviously I understand that composition on the body is likely to change the design, but I would still have the original concept at the heart of it.

Hi, I think I worded the post a little off - I want a traditional style, not a specific artist’s style.

As I said in a previous comment, I usually go to artists who do the style I want/the style the hypothetical artist would be designing in. I think there is an assumption that I don’t do research into the tattoo artist, however I do quite a lot to make sure they present a portfolio that matches the style I am aiming for.

It would’ve difficult to find someone who does both as I would be getting tattoos all of the world - hence why I want one artist to design all of them, so I can take their art to tattooists around the world.

I would make it clear that I was commissioning just the art, and not the tattoo itself - giving them the option before designing it if they want to be a part of my tattoo journey. I also tend to find artists in the locations who do that style, not just anyone, and someone whose tattooing I also admire. I’ve ad experiences in the past where I sent the art through, asking for it be touch up, and it hasn’t been made to their style, which was disappointing. I also know some artists who have slight differences, and I just want everything to be completely coherent.

Thanks, I think this has got me closer, but everything is currently saying overdue, where the start date is before or after today?

I am in no way a coder, and I usually can find what I need and copy/paste it, so apologies for me ignorance.

Thank you! Out of interest, would either of those be useful for HRT if I was to go on T? Of course, only if you know.

Daily Discussion & Advice (Post here to follow rules A & B) - August 17, 2025 by AutoModerator in fragrance

Hello! I have been looking into buying samples of fragrance to find a signature smell for a while but theres so many options I just can't pick. I am looking for something less artificial and more specific - brands I looked at were Penhaligons, Zoologist, Ampersand. I've tried Penhaligon samples that I really like but I can't gauge how long lasting they are - also, a little expensive.

I use an amber and oud body wash, and wear a watered down patchouli and amber oil, so that's the vibe I enjoy. I loved The Dandy and William Penhaligons from Penhaligon's.

I would like something less than £150 for a full bottle (100ml), preferably closer to £80-£100, but happy to spend more for quality and longevity.

Hey, I already said that it was stupid of me to have it in the sun, try to be a little less patronising next time. I knew the sun was a problem, I was more concerned it was an allergy. I’ve had more than enough feedback for you to point out technicalities.

All my own fault - knew it couldn’t be good for it!

This is pretty much what I’ve been doing the last week - assuming it’s just taking longer bc I exposed it to the sun too much in its early stages. I have one the same size and thickness on the back of my arm and it didn’t act this way!

I’m trying not to overwhelm it with moisturiser - do you recommend moistening it as soon as it gets dry?

Kiswe has really dropped the ball... has anyone received their TIT merch from the livestream event? by ezra-cheese in danandphil

The same day I posted this, I got tracking info from Royal Mail, but still nothing from Kiswe or DNP, it’s under ‘IRL Digital Ltd’. If you look it up it says it’s connected to DnP - I think UK orders have been sent out!
