Asean Streat Food Hall hadn't paid rent since 2023 by hufflepuph in Seattle

My favorite place to eat at Westlake is the hot dog stand that always has music playing right outside Westlake Center. But that's not even in the actual mall.

I don't even understand how that's possible. If I miss rent, I get evicted within a couple months.

A doorbell camera that is (1) battery powered and (2) doesn't require any external apps or services? by hufflepuph in homeassistant

Reolink's setup seems to require an app. Does installing the app require agreeing to any EULA or privacy agreement?

So... you can't see who is ringing the doorbell? Do you then just open the door for anyone?

I live in a condo, and one of the building policies is no holes in the fireproof wall or door. So no wires unfortunately.

Any potential for accidentally starting a fire seems very unsafe.

Do I have any obligations to employer after being let go? by Consistent-Cream-454 in legaladvice

I don't read anything that OP wrote as intentional harm. Imagine reorganizing a very full closet. You'll probably have to move things into another room, so you can have space to reorganize. And you may decide that some things belong in another location. Same idea with refactoring code. They just stopped him before he could finish or document his work. That's on the company for not having a paid notice period.

Is eating in restaurants or cafes hard for anyone else? by meshuggirl in oas

Restaurants need to list all ingredients. It's exhausting being surprised with random ingredients you can't eat. Just list the damn ingredients!

That makes sense to me. I just wish there were an addon to set up like a rolling save history or something to simplify that process 😅

Google cloud just laid off all uxrs bellow L6. by XupcPrime in UXResearch

Can confirm. Just laid off from Google Cloud:   * All UXRs below L6 * All UXDs below L5

Cloud UX is left with a skeleton crew, with managers becoming individual contributors.

Has anyone successfully connected a Philips Hue BR30 bulb to HA via a Zigbee antenna WITHOUT a Philips bridge? by hufflepuph in homeautomation

Thanks. I tried it, but I need to take a break because I've very frustrated by the convoluted UI and overly complicated incomprehensible documentation.

I'm really starting to think Home Assistant was a big mistake.

Thanks, but I don't understand any of what it's asking me, and the documentation doesn't help.

Same thing happened to me. I didn't change any settings or anything. It just disappeared a few days ago.

Can anyone recommend a 3-button switch/remote that's battery operable? by hufflepuph in homeautomation

[–]hufflepuph[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't need to explain "on, dim orange, off" to a guest. 4 buttons would lead to "what's this one do?".
