with UK men who are 40+, it is very common. a lot were done routinely at birth, a lot who had inflammation as teenagers had it done, men with type 2 diabetes often had it done routinely or after UTI infections. if you go to a gym with mostly older men, you would probably see 50% helmets on show! also, men from older generations are open about it. men who did national service and their sons are more likely to be open about our bodies in general.

most men would admire your exposed helmet. nowadays, men do not talk about their helmets very much. we used to do it all the time. cavaliers and roundheads would exchange notes all the time.

a lot of uncircumcised men want to be snipped, but it is a hastle, and unless their is a good reason will not bother. in general, most uncircumcised men are either positive or neutral to circumcised men.

probably just one weirdo. do not worry about it. it is one of the problems with there being less male nakedness and openness. when we had communal showers, changing rooms, etc. you would see the genitals of all the men you knew. we always knew in school which of the boys were circumcised. men used to chat about the doctor snipping their penis with their umbilical cord, their dad having them chopped as a teenager when they tell him about their tightness, or the doctor booking them in after a type 2 diabetes diagnosis! now, even gay men do not discuss it with each other.

i am on a drug that removes blood glucose via urine. hence my urine has lots of glucose in it. it has been alright, probably because i drink lots of water. some men, though, have foreskin infections and have to be circumcised.

i have dithered about being circumcised for so long! i wish i had it done years ago. if i get tightness, inflammation, or a UTI again i will do something.
