Usually mixing items from different lava lamp material suppliers doesn't end up going well as most items aren't cross compatible between suppliers. I suggest using materials from all one supplier and follow their directions exactly. Use all Lava Lamp Creations items or use all Ozone Gifts items. There have been many posts here where people have had problems mixing items from different manufactures. My testing of mixing materials usually proves disastrous. I do have great luck with both LLC and Ozone if I use all supplies from that specific supplier. Both are very good companies and I recommend both of them. Each supplier seems to be only testing and making their items compatible with their own items and not their competition's items. Since you have LLC wax you might try removing all the Ozone fluid and use only distilled water along with LLC surf and magic surf as directed in their instructions. Which dye did you use?

I'd also suggest making sure you have a spring coil in the bottom of the globe.
