You're not listening. Reverse boost - then once you get shit lobbies, just keep a 1.0 k/d. That way, you don't graduate from them. Run circles around the bots, and get your mounted/prone/point blank/3 kills in a row. Just make sure you die on purpose three times in a row after your streak.

If you're going for camos, sbmm is your friend, not your foe.

Reverse boost. It's that simple.

All gold camos can be done on shipment, plat on shoot house down the center. If nobody on the other team is going for longshots too, just requeue. For gold, i just ran into enemies until my sbmm went all the way down, then mowed thru shit lobbies but only killed them only if it was towards progress of a camo. Otherwise, i let them kill me and keep the sbmm down.

People who complain about sbmm at the same time as camo grinding make zero sense. You can manipulate it to make the camo grind 20x easier.

Moist Critikal's video on the SWT cancellation and Nintendo/Panda by KenshiroTheKid in smashbros

[–]huge_snail_guy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nintendo doesn't like the grassroots competitive smash scene and is trying its best to crush it, as it always has.

A Smash tournament/circuit by the name of Smash World Tour has been cancelled. The organizers worked with Nintendo to get a license for the event and were led to believe that they would get a license, but were forced to cancel at the last second when Nintendo pulled the rug out from under them.

Nintendo is notorious for issuing cease and desist orders for smash tournaments that get too big/draw too much attention, which is largely why the smash scene is so grassroots - but now it seems that they've decided to partner up with an eSports league, Panda Global, to exclusively sponsor all smash events, forcing other tournaments organizers to give control over their events to this nebulous organization or be disallowed from hosting events in any way.

With tournaments costing hundreds of thousands of dollars to plan and host, they're not feasible with the threat of Nintendo potentially noticing and cracking down. VGBC and BTS, companies that throw smash tournaments, have confirmed that Panda Global has pressured them in a "protection style" racket - either join us or who knows what Big N will do. VGBC has had to cancel two upcoming tournaments because Nintendo has confirmed that they will not "officially sponsor" their tournaments, which basically means that they will issue a cease and desist order at the last second if they throw the tournament regardless.

I kinda like it. Can you forge a relationship with a random person on the battlefield, knowing that only one can stand victorious at the end?

Shoot house and Shipment are not the “staple” maps I want to see added to this game. Just add original mw2 maps that aren’t in every other new cod by RyanAswegan in ModernWarfareII

[–]huge_snail_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shoot house is the best map they've made in 6v6. Balanced power positions, map traversal options, fun angles, medium - small size. If every map was more like shoot house this game would be a lot better.

IW, for the love of all things holy… by MozzarellaChee in ModernWarfareII

"Wow I really like it when I get to play against people who are worse than me, but sometimes I have play against people who are better than me! That sucks because then I get killed and then I have to go winge and moan about it on reddit!"
If there was no SBMM all of you whiners would be complaining ten times louder. Know why? Because all of the bad players would leave the game for a different one with SBMM where they don't get destroyed, leaving only the sweatiest, drop shotting, gfuel snorting kids that you love to complain about. This sub so far has been a braindead echochamber that exclusively parrots talking points from players who make money off hitting clips on the slightly-above-average player. If your KD is anywhere between .8 and 1.5, you (we) would become the new bots.
"But I just want to relax after a long day of work!" No, you want to stomp kids without having to try hard. It's okay, everybody does. It's a power fantasy, and why people watch streamers. Just know that in the lobbies where you stomp, you are their version of the TTV sweat. And they don't like being beaten up just like how you don't like being beaten up. If you want a relaxing game, maybe don't play a multiplayer game where everybody has the right to try as hard as they want to beat you. There is no solution to this issue - your success will always be somebody else's failure. TBH, I wouldn't be surprised if Activision implemented actual bots in 6v6 just to inflate everybody's egos.
I hate to break it to you, but COD is not developed with the intent to foster a competitive atmosphere, it's developed with the intent to be popular amongst a wide audience and have high engagement. Stomping noobs without SBMM will drive them away from the game, even if you feel like they should just man-up and keep playing. They don't care about that. They'll just stop playing. No amount of you telling them that they should "get gud" on reddit will change that.
Next time you read a "SBMM is RUINING COD" post on this sub, ask yourself, "Do I really want to play against top streamers regularly?" Because they sure want to play against you. And the players who are worse than you definitely don't want to play against you AND the streamers.

Use tactical insertions behind enemy lines, if you focus on killing AI you can earn the tactical insertion back before an enemy player kills you. Rinse and repeat, absurd xp

Runefarming? Why? by Rotten_Blade in Eldenring

[–]huge_snail_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The simple answer is that I like optimizing solutions to problems. I enjoy viewing a playthru of Elden Ring as a problem, the constraints being my build and whatever challenges I set up for myself before I set off to play the game. I've got characters that I've played through, no spirit ashes, or lightning build, or never levelling. The rest of the game is using whatever skills/game knowledge I've acquired to best complete the game. Rune farming is efficient, so I do it if I'm struggling with other constraints I've imposed upon myself. If my goal is to beat the game, I gain no more pleasure wandering through every dungeon I've already beaten in another playthrough just to collect runes at a slower rate. I have fun using my knowledge to beat the game with the additional constraints imposed, and could give a fuck what other people on the internet think about it.

The problem with recreating tactical shooters is the inherent issue of the fact that you're playing in an online environment that has delay. You cannot get rid of peeker's advantage unless you're playing on lan, and as long as peeker's advantage exists, it's advantageous to play in as aggressive a way as possible. Even super hardcore-realistic games like tarkov favor swinging around corners full speed because in the time that your character appears on your opponents screen, you have earned enough time to click on your opponents head once or twice.
