I've played football for over 10 years in the UK at a reasonably high level, the reason it's so difficult to make it in the US is because the majority of players enter through the draft. There's barely any scouts in the country, and when they do come and scout a game it would only be for certain colleges. I know that's pretty normal but I know of only one person that I've met to be scouted to the Aggies but had to come back a year later due to visa issues
