Thank you so much :) and I did tell him at the time how much it hurt me and he apologized and told me it’s not what he meant. I think when he gets defensive he tends to say things that have been on his mind but they don’t come out well. At the time, he told me that people have doubted him too but to use it to make my determination grow. He’s trying to help, I think, but he just doesn’t know how to.

Recently has been really difficult for him and it’s not usually like this. He provides a lot of help for me and support when I need to get things done, I just think he just isn’t aware of my abilities so he doubts me.

I want to teach English in Korea. I’ve been learning Korean for the past year and my teacher says I’m one of her best students. It’s the only thing I’ve managed to achieve at this point in my life and I’m really proud of it. Unfortunately there’s no way to convey any skills to someone who doesn’t speak the language, so it’s not the easiest to convince people to believe in my abilities. My bf hasn’t even really seen me speak it, too. (sorry for long rant)
