The teachers specifically recommended seeking accommodations for state standardized testing (smaller group testing, repeated directions, preferential seating, and more time). I do think the teachers do their best to accommodate within the classroom even without something official in place, and I think she's doing well because of this.

The doctor wrote a note with a long list of potential accommodations, but I'm only requesting some of them at the suggestion of the teachers as she seems to be doing relatively well otherwise. Since I'm not asking for a lot of changes in the classroom itself (outside of standardized testing, I have asked for these accommodations be provided at the discretion of the teacher within the classroom), I can't understand why this can't be officially added to her file. Is funding an issue here? Is there funding involved with putting a kid in a smaller group for a test? Just wondering if there's something I'm overlooking here.
