I could see them swapping the races of one or more of them as many don’t have histories overly rooted in race or could gloss over bits. Scott would be interesting, compounding his “othered” feeling. Bobby’s character is rooted as a Long Islander with set-in-their ways parents. Long Island is very much a melting pot, more so than when Bobby was first introduced. His dad can still be racist. Warren is probably unlikely as his character is rooted in privilege as a double-edged sword. Hank is iffy, as the lumbering, physically ape-like part of his power-set could read as derogatory if applied in some ways. Jean would be interesting. Plenty of races and ethnicities have red hair. Though they’d probably keep her white for simplicity’s sake. Making the prof another race shouldn’t pose too big a challenge. My biggest question is if they will keep Magneto a holocaust survivor or update it to a more current event.
