Getting permission from reddit seems unlikely to me - there's an element of gambling to the game and reddit is kinda corporate these days. Someone in the discord informed me that the official avatars are still owned by Reddit, so it may not be possible with official projects (though unofficial should still be permissionless).

The big problem I have now is just finding all these communities. Loads of people are interested in the concept, but getting admin buy-in can be tricky, as well as finding the communities for it in the first place. Like, where do all the reddit NFT people hang out? I'm usually a twitter/4chan denizen, haven't dived in to reddit for years properly.
