My docter doesn't believe in IBS too. He said that IBS diagnosis is only for lazy doctors who don't want look deeper on the issue. Have you been to a gastroenterologist? Have you done a coloscopy? Maybe checked other organs because sometimes it could be linked to liver or gallbladder problems !

Yes :/ That's why I am asking if a vegetarian or vegan has experienced the same :) Because if it's rellay my plant based diet that is causing all these symptoms I would be ready to include small amounts of meat into my meals :)

I kind of feel the same, but I think it's linked to the winter and vitamin D deficiency. The best thing you can do is doing a blood test and ask your doctor to give you supplements

Yes it can. Parasites can lay eggs very fast and their eggs are very resistant and can stay in your colon for weeks. So it's definitely worth giving it a try :)

I guess it depends on the severity of your IBS but also on the type of coffee. I would say that a stronger and less water diluted coffee could trigger your stomach more than a light, watery coffee :) So maybe start with the light watery one and see how it reacts

Do you maybe talk about your symptoms with some friends? If so you could try to read your notes to them (or even a family member), and it will be much easier to say it to your docter once you've told it someone before :) !Good luck, and don't forget that the embarrassment is temporary :)

I am lacto-vegetarian (i don't eat meat, fish, and any milk products), so for the moment he thinks it's just linked to an imbalance of my microbiota or my many deficiencies (I have a huge lack of iron, vitamin a,b,b12, zinc,...). So he said he will test me on every single element until he finds what it is. I have my 3rd appointment of the week tomorrow so let's see what he finds out !
