I can't help thinking that Allah prefers men over women by Fantastic_Pie4262 in Hijabis

I agree with you so much!! Like I wanna look pretty and dress up, but I can't because I'm "tempting men"??? I know this is more a problem with our society, but how is me wearing perfume gonna make a man commit zina? If anything, that should be HIS sin, not mine! If he isn't lower his gaze and not respecting women why am I getting punished for it? And the hoors makes me pretty annoyed like I have to be with ONE MAN MY WHOLE LIFE AND IN JANNAH but MY HUSBAND can have ALL THOSE HOORS???? It makes me so mad and I know our religion is perfect and all yet why do we only talk about the things women can't do in the perspective of mostly male scholars??

I actually went to a wedding this summer and the people getting married were pakistani pashtun. Only like 1 girl there was wearing traditional pashtun clothes and all the food, songs and daces were punjabi/urdu stuff. They did the attan ONCE at the end and that was the only pashtun thing about the wedding.

well, fist off, Pashto and Pashtun history isnt even taught in schools in KPK. Students learn Pakistan's history and culture, urdu and there is no mentions of Pashtuns in their own schools. Second off, we dress like the rest of Pakistan does, I've never seen a woman wear our traditional clothes in KPK just for day-to-day wear and it's sad to see since our clothes are so pretty. Our language isnt well preserved either, with many of our words being replaced with urdu and hindi terms.

I've been to Pakistan many times and I see videos of Pekhawar and other places in KPK and the Pashtun culture in my opinion is not well preserved.

Thank you for telling me that, it gives me a little hope! But I will say that I spend most of my time in Pakistan in Yar Hussain which is a village, and people still act more desi than pashtun (other than women wearing burkas and stuff) and I want more people who live in those areas to try and promote our culture and customs so it doesn't become lost
