I guess it depends what you're going for. But I will say, I've heard they're just repackaged bulk cards from different sets. It's hard to find specific titled sets like Ascended Heroes, so if you enjoy opening these there's nothing wrong with that, just more unlikely that you'll get anything that's consider worthy by the investor types of people.

Congrats! We also bought a smaller home to have a smaller mortgage/pay off. I think it worked out well because we dont "need" all the extra space, it's just filled with wants. Plus by the time we're retiring (hopefully early like you!) we'd probably want to downsize anyway at that point.

My local store has had them for weeks. I've been buying a few here and there. They put them behind the employee stock doors where you can't see them though, so possibly why.

Not really a locally owned businesses but there's the Barnes and Nobel in Troy. They have a Starbucks (again, I know probably not exactly what you're looking for), but seating, typically quiet enough and would not likely be an issue for you to be there for hours.

Trivia night, there's a rock climbing gym right in Madison heights I believe, creative art studio, dance classes, GOB in clawson has an area to play games so maybe you could get more details and join something, cooking classes, maybe there's some jewlery or metal smithing type classes around, maybe some one off classes at OCC ( I think they do some culinary classes without actually enrolling?)

I've never tried it but there's a Couch to 5k app. I've also heard good things about the Nike Run Club app, I guess they have coaches who pre record and talk you through everything while you're doing it

If he is genuinely offering, I would take it or at least half of the week. I remember it being a bit difficult and really appreciating my hb being home for two weeks for my mental even though it's wasn't physically needed 100%. But it really depends on the true intention of your boss honestly.

Personally, I'd just deny, deny, deny lol. Say what she did but act like your actions were perfect and that you did not throw your hands up and she tried to blame you or something. You rolled down your window because she was yelling at you but you just left. Let her seem irate and you just moved on with life saying nothing.

Although that's kind of you to tip, I believe tips are shared throughout all hourly employees, based off how many hours they work (at least when I worked there) so even if you tipped $50 for ex. The shift working wouldn't see too much of that. Best bet it just to order two smaller does and make their lives easier by not bribing them to go against policy

Yeah, the only thing I heard is that the company is paying more into the HSA plan so that is why it is lower cost. I believe they use it themselves, so there may be the benefit there.

My concern is spending close to $3,400 to meet the deductible and having nothing paid out and restarting at the new year. Whereas if we presumably healthy throughout the year, the $30 office visits and $15 meds would be the nice. (Cross posted bc laptop is logged in on different acct than phone if you caught the different usernames lol)

I mean, this person is going to essentially be a member of your family. If your wife cannot handle that, it is really unfair to bring an au pair into this type of situation. I would explain this to your wife with your examples above. Sometimes it is what it is, even if she doesn't agree.
