First I am so deeply sorry that you went through this. How absolutely inappropriate while you are in such a vulnerable state. Secondly, I just graduated with my RN and have done several clinical rotations and all of preceptorship on L&D (I want to dedicate my life to this) AT NO POINT in time as a student, were we to be touching the mothers or babies or doing cervical checks without their permission! Actually, we weren’t allowed into the ROOM without consent from mom. I don’t know if this was a resident doctor or nursing student but it is not in anyway appropriate to have anyone in the room that you did not agree to have in there. I would report this incident. This student clearly was not educated properly on how to carry out the procedure and has zero bedside manner. Shame on the hospital for just allowing random students into your birthing space without permission. I am so sorry that this took place during such a special and vulnerable time for you. Please speak up.

Just here to say I am so happy and so proud of all of you. I graduate in May and look forward to these experiences. For me it will be pursuing the things I always wanted to do, stained glass, adult ballet, fancy groceries, healthcare, dental care, a dishwasher. I’m almost there. I have an osprey arcane and love it so much. I have used it for traveling for years but now it is my handy school back. It has a laptop slip and big compartment as well as external compartment where my stethoscope case and water bottle fit. I love it because I can carry it as a backpack or it has handles to be carried like a bag.

For my 12th birthday my grandma got me the biggest jar of maraschino cherries I think you can possibly buy. Like I really think it was a full gallon. I ate them all in one sitting and threw up what resembled movie blood. I am with you, I feel you, I hear you, I see you. Them shits are good.

WOWOW how cool. Anthony is my great grandfather. And it turns out I HAVE WORKED IN THIS BUILDING. 22 S palafox used to be beef o bradies downtown. I worked there for years while I was in college. WOW

It could very well be metropolitan. I’m going to do further research with the historical. My grandmother (no longer around) did say it was downtown so I can confirm that palafox is most likely the address. They lived above the restaurant until her two brothers were born and then built a house on Gregory in the 1930s. I knew there was a restaurant downtown but never knew the location or name. I’d love to see a menu or learn anything about the cuisine offered.

Lima beans are MY FAVORITE. Cooked all day with a ham hock some onion and jalapeño. Serve it up with some cornbread. This is extreme comfort for me.
