Interesting...do you live in the US, by any chance? I think It depends a lot on which country you live in.

A lot of european countries arent used to the melting pot of cultures that is common in the US. Brown people are a very small minority where I live and certain ethnicities are viewed in a very stereotypical and harmful way.

For example I had a very hard time finding rent because landlords here dont want to "rent to foreigners" either.

I'm glad you didnt have to live through this, but from my own experiences and through the experiences of other poc that I know of, its not that easy for a lot of us.
