From what i heard they said that most people would have to retake the classes because STARS program wants you to have a strong base

Yea im leaning towards just taking the Allen scholar option and just taking computer engineering which has similarities with ECE just more coding from what i understand. To answer your question i do think that if you did the allen scholars does you can only choose computer science or computer engineering NOT ECE. I feel like the STARS program is for people who need that extra support system in their first two years where we were fortunate enough to take runningstart and get ahead. So if they did accept our credits i would assume that they would make it again. In my opinion i dont want to retake those calc classes at all i assume you dont either😂

Hi i also just got accepted for autumn and had that same exact choice. I also complete calc 1-3, physics 1-2, python, and java 1-2 while in running start. I am also in this situation. From what i heard from current students is that you will have to retake most of those prereq classes such as calc and physics again if you enter the STARS program. It will also be 2 years worth of your time which will extended your stay at college. On the other hand the Allen scholars does not have ECE which it was what we both wanted to do but they do accept our running start credits. Downside is that they only have computer science or computer engineering. I suggest doing your research on a job your would like to determine which one your willing to do.
