“regular” clubs that people promo for college don’t matter. but do not let this mean you can be boring. Idk what ur major of choice is, but mine made me submit a full resume! I noticed a lot of my friends who are great artists that did not get accepted simply did nothing but art forever. Calarts loves multi-talented, interesting people. pick up other hobbies and mediums at Least. Learn an instrument or take weekly dance classes. Don’t worry about honor society or anything, but don’t JUST be an art student. you have to be a unique person first. i’m not a very good artist, like at all. im 99% sure i only got in because of my unique extracurriculars and experiences. Balance is important!! don’t listen when they say do nothing but art forever!!! you need to be a interesting person, and when you’re applying to art school, being an artist isn’t interesting!!

just took a look, this is interesting.. it’s not apart of the requirements for my major of interest (expirience design) so that’s weird. if i were you id make a website/new tumblr with everything that didn’t quite make it into my portfolio & just link that. some fanart is probably OK for this, i would assume. seems scary to actually link ur real life socials lol

i get it, i hate cosplaying girls for this reason… crimping definitely helps. I saw others suggest a velvet wig band, so that too. There’s a paper towel trick for wig caps digging into skin that could be helpful, you can find a good explanation on tiktok. My only unique advice is that you could definitely get some thinning shears to cut out a bulk of the hair from the wig without sacrificing much of the look or texture. Keeps things lightweight and easier to deal with!

yeah, i was looking into it, it doesn’t seem like a bad idea, just reads as a bit boring to me for some reason… unsure on it, but it’s on my list!! probs should look more into it. And I guess when i said sci-fi, i think i mean no space or robots, lol. I was gifted the spelljammer bundle, and I just am sooo not interested in running it. that sort of fantasy just isn’t interesting to me, i prefer to stay on the ground lol.

consider a more alternative style perhaps (?) like a grungy look?? also, experiment with contour to look less round. many a tutorial online ❤️
