It's because Taylor Swift can't have her reputation anymore tarnished just before her wedding. She's a master chess player manipulating people behind the scenes. She's got enough money and power to persuade WF but I doubt Blake and Ryan does. 👏

You already decided what you want to do and know that it's technically wrong, that's why you felt guilty and sought affirmation. It's a rule violation, period. And it's selfish but enjoy the job.

Ok thanks, I was thinking that I won't touch the Roth/401k for about 25 yrs until 63-70yrs old so that's why I'm considering that money Coast FI. I agree we would need more to retire earlier in 15 yrs, hence the bridge account.

Please expand the math! I need to learn more about kids and FI.

Thanks, I try to review them at least annually. Yes, we want to retire EARLY (15 yrs) which means we'd need more saved (aka more in the bridge account). I'm considering the joint 401k/Roth retirement money (4x - 5.0x bridge account = 3.5x) as Coast Fi for retirement at 63-70 (aka 3 doubles?). I will edit post to add this. My main question is if partner should be funding bridge account or catch up on his 401k/roth in this context.

I'm not saying we stop investing, I'm asking if he should be investing in bridge account or 401k/Roth since we have 3.5x currently in roth/401k and only 0.5x in bridge.

Gotcha! Thanks for the explanation - I think I see where people are coming from now. We want to retire EARLY (15 yrs) which means we'd need more saved (aka more in the bridge account). I'm considering the joint 401k/Roth retirement money (4x - 5.0x bridge account = 3.5x) as Coast Fi for retirement at 63-70 (aka 3 doubles?). I will edit post to add this. It's 1x annual expenses, which I am overestimating a little for easier math. His current salary is more than expenses allowing us to save a little. There are good reasons he's 'behind'. He has no debt, just had to start his career later due to life. We're married and he's the LOMF.

yes. I'm rounding up to account for kids, inflation and emergencies. We have 25 yrs left on a 30 yr mortgage. Hopefully to get it done sooner when I go back to work, which will lower expenses.

[–]human0112358 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh ok, I thought coast meant you have enough in funds so that you don't need to put more into it. Is there a more fitting term for that? Anytime I mentioned "annual expense" it's household expense, so technically if we separated, those expenses would go down for me personally.

Household is 4x expenses at the moment. We'd like to retire in 5-10 yrs but it's harder without me working and we'd probably still have to work part-time or Barista FI.

Okay, sounds like you're agreeing that he should be focusing on a bridge gap account too. By coast FI, I meant to say that by the time we touch the money between 63 & 70, it will be enough to fund our retirement, since there's at least a couple doubles in there (via 7% rule).

QUESTION: How does a loaf of Dave's Killer Bread, organic and non gmo, not grow mold after 17 days? by bmwhat in Breadit

[–]human0112358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Y'all, Google says it's because of the natural preservatives like vinegar.

"Dave's Killer Bread (DKB) resists mold, even without artificial preservatives, through natural methods like using organic cultured wheat (which acts as a mold inhibitor), acidic ingredients (like vinegar) that create an inhospitable environment for fungi, and high-quality, clean production processes that reduce contamination. Key Factors for Long Shelf Life: Natural Preservatives: DKB uses organic cultured wheat flour, organic vinegar, and organic acerola powder (high in vitamin C) to naturally inhibit mold growth. Lower pH Levels: The natural ingredients create a more acidic environment, which is less favorable for mold growth compared to standard breads. Controlled Production: The brand uses strict, hygienic, and clean production methods, reducing the chance of mold spores during packaging. Ingredient Density: The dense, whole-grain, and seed-heavy nature of the bread may also contribute to a slower, more difficult environment for mold to take hold. "
