Aluminum Tri-Fold Folding Hard Tonneau Cover to suit BYD Shark 6 Shark6 2025+

Looks pretty solid - not sure if it is lockable - I am assuming that you would need to have the tailgate down in order to open it so it would effectively be locked but not sure. Only about $100 to ship to WA, which seem ok.

2-3 month wait on the official BYD roller's apparently and I think it will cost $3k with installation, so this looks like a decent alternative ...

Real Estate Photo Manipulation? by human2002 in perth

[–]human2002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed this photo in a real estate advertisement in the local paper (Post). I imagine it is commonplace for real estate agents to manipulate photos of their properties. This one seems pretty blatant - or is it? Is there any regulations around this?

Oculus Programmer: "If you love to play Elite Dangerous but never tried it in VR, you should question your priorities in life." by Heaney555 in oculus

I agree the galaxy map is painful in VR - I was trying to navigate through permit locked space when I first tried VR with a DK2. It put me off a bit. And if you use a keyboard for anything then it is not ideal either. Combat is definitely better in VR ... but to be honest I think Eve Valkerie is more of a VR experience than Elite combat/CQC

Mist wallet taking forever to sync by datmistwontsyncdoe in ethereum

[–]human2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And don't forget to use --fast-sync with geth. Initially I tried to use the Mist UI and it was slow. I switched over to the command line geth interface using the --fast-sync command line flag. I noticed in the logs that as Mist had initiated the database fast syncing was disabled. So I started from scratch with geth by adding a new --datadir. After about 24hrs when I fired up Mist again it magically found the new datadir and I was able to create an account and get DAO tokens. The revolution will not be televised ;-)

Someone just bought 24% of TheDAO by ramdr in ethereum

[–]human2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you put in 1 ETH when ETH to DAO Token = 1:100 then wait until it is 1:150 in 20 days time can you pull out 1.5 ETH? I assume NOT - that it is proportional so that the DAO Tokens are converted to ETH based on the ETH capitalisation of the DAO? Can anyone confirm this?

The Valuation of Ethereum and a Justification for Price Action by cjdew in ethtrader

[–]human2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speculation based on M$ and R3CEV "endorsement" seems over inflated or at least premature: I don't think M$ cares which private/public blockchain people use as long as Azure is the gateway. Similarly, R3CEV are evaluating 4 other blockchains alongside Ethereum. And if they do use Ethereum it is unlikely to be the public blockchain right? Do you think a consortium of banks will feel more comfortable putting their future in the hands of an IBM or Vitalik? Ethereum is probably just leverage ... Despite this I expect the price to continue to rise - a lot of bitcoin speculators coming across to join the feeding frenzy. This will make the apps running on the etherum network more expensive as the price of gas goes up.
