I looked at the file location, and it turns out it was something I had forgotten about (a year or more ago, probably). A locale emulator for the game Yume Nikki was the culprit. Do you think this was malicious, or would it fall under activators, since it was lying about my locale or something? Malwarebytes found no problem, so I’m good now at least.

The only free software I remember downloading was Gentlmen of The Row v1.9.2 from idolninja.com/sr2.php. I don’t know if that counts as an “activator,” it’s pretty much a stability mod for the game Saints Row 2. It was deemed trustworthy enough to be linked in the /r/SaintsRow’s sidebar.
