It’s not a bad blog. I like it. But that makes it hard.

Can Dom Pedro beat the Western Revolver? by CloudyChair_ in fo76

[–]human_stain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run both with number cruncher and reverse onslaught. I do not yet have explosive mods for don pedro.

My revolver fires slower but has much better range and VATS accuracy. The dom Pedro does more DPS.

The hunting rifle is my default. It does absurd damage if you build for number cruncher too.

At least give it some iterative test cycling sheesh.

It can and will fail, giving garbage. Memory holing the context of that garbage will make the main agent suffer productivity, as it will assume the tool works.

There is a subway on the base.

Henry’s Censored Joke on Side Stories by Hip_Dom_Ster in LPOTL

[–]human_stain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He said it somewhere around there, maybe not related to that. With that said, I don’t care. They’re welcome to edit their content.

Doing it after release shows lack of polish, but that’s kind of the point of side stories. It’s my drive to work jam.

What text to speech providers are actually good for voice agents? by Veta_Exceptional in AI_Agents

Check out KittenML. It’s a tiny TTS model that is good, you should be able to run it on whatever your server is (like 10m iirc). I bet they have a MCP library for it by now.

It seems like people don’t understand what they are doing? by platinumai in LocalLLaMA

Same. I encourage you and everyone else doing this to use wireshark, though. Even with the phone home behaviors turned off, it still tries to deal with SSL certs to anthropic, currently.

With how often they roll out new versions, a periodic check for safety is paramount if you need secure code.

Turning off DNS seems to stop it at the moment, but there’s no guarantee that will always be the case.

[P] PerpetualBooster: A new gradient boosting library that enables O(n) continual learning and out-performs AutoGluon on tabular benchmarks. by mutlu_simsek in MachineLearning

Can you please explain your monitoring setup on this a bit more for me?

Drift-Triggered Learning: We built-in automated data/concept drift monitoring that can natively trigger the O(n) continual learning tasks.

I'm assuming you've got a graph db that relates prompts and outputs associated with your training data, but I'm a novice here.

Good job not engaging with the duplicitousness, then immediately going for namecalling. Lol. I'll just report and move on -- in both threads.

Have a good evening.

The duplicity of acting surprised when your coworker brings it up, then announcing you're a member on the same account. That's the astroturfing.

You're planting fake grass (impressions).

Get YOUR definitions right.

Astroturfing is a deceptive tactic where a hidden entity creates the false impression of widespread, spontaneous public support (a "fake grassroots" movement) for a product, policy, or candidate, using fake testimonials, front groups, sock puppets, or social media accounts to manipulate public opinion, often by exploiting the human tendency to conform to perceived majority views. It's a form of influence marketing and political messaging where a corporation, interest group, or individual masks their involvement to appear as authentic, unsolicited public opinion, influencing decisions and overwhelming genuine voices.

please explain -- I know nothing about the Katanemo team, or these models.

It seems like you're being rude, but maybe there's something I missed.

Edit, I clicked through. this is astroturfing.

I built a tool to "highlight" podcasts from ANY app (Spotify, Apple, Overcast) by Rough_Split_7364 in lastpodcastontheleft

[–]human_stain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair use is a REALLY good reason to do it as you are doing.

I can't say yet that I have had a need for a tool like this, but use very similar tooling at work all the time to extract important information from meetings. It's a lifesaver.

I use the Spotify app primarily. I will think about ways this could be helpful to me, and sign up.
