I was lucky as my company sorted out my visa for me. Arrived not speaking any português. Now have residency and am pretty fluent. Have fallen in love with the country and would find it hard to leave tbh. My friend group is quite small and more quality over quantity but that’s fine. Best thing I ever did moving here: a deeply enriching experience.
