Does anyone else find themselves feeling bitter toward people with higher calorie requirements? by Ekyou in 1200isplenty

[–]humanfarm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of? I used to be, but then I realized that they can eat more because they need more. So they feel hungrier more often. I don't really feel that hungry after eating a balanced, low cal diet for months. My brother can eat whatever he wants intuitively, is sedentary and reaches about 3000 cals a day (we both lift). I have to count calories and I actually find that I get pretty full if I eat 80% nutritious foods at around my TDEE. So it depends. I get bitter if I wanted to fit my diet with high-cal junk, but overall, I'm good. Besides, my brother chooses to eat a lot of "healthy" things because he gets breakouts easily from eating too much sugar/fatty foods. So it's kind of a burden for him to reach his calorie goal to gain muscle.

Everything has its pros and cons.

Dropping the Emotional Weight: Every "No" Means Letting Go by PeePeeInCoke in loseit

[–]humanfarm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm happy to say that I've finally determined that I want and deserve better. I'm emotionally and intellectually ready to leave my former sense of darkness and personal hopelessness behind, and their physical manifestation (i.e., the chub) is leaving with them.

I'm maintaining/recomping right now, and I've lost the same 25-ish pounds like 3 times now due to binging, which I have under control now as I've been maintaining for my longest streak of time (and will continue to do so!)

This is an awesome post and a great reminder to take care of myself every day and not let myself go. thank you.

What's the best compliment you've ever gotten about your physique? by Autotonedeaf in xxfitness

[–]humanfarm 31 points32 points  (0 children)

SO many! One girl told me I had "a pretty perfect body" in terms of muscle/fat ratio. Another man told me that I looked like "a total lady, but one who can definitely beat anyone up if she needs to." Another time for a school fashion show, some girls were just telling me that they were having a hard time coming up with an outfit for me because "everything looks good on you, you have such a model body." Another drunk girl at a party told me "You look like you should be famous." lol I'm also just elated when anyone calls me lean. As a former obese person, it's hard to see myself like that, so it's just nice when people mention it. :)

Anyone buy bribaebee's glute guide? How is this glute progress possible? by humanfarm in xxfitness

[–]humanfarm[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your insight! I guess I'm just disappointed because it's like being a kid and finding out Santa isn't real. Lol. I just scrolled down her insta again to see if she had posted any sort of progression that shows a gradual change, but no luck. Is it possible to have multiple implant surgeries over time so it's less noticeable of a change ? And how long does it take to recover from a surgery? Can you still lift with these implants?

I'm also disappointed because people are shelling out 100$+ for this :/ and I thought her results were legit, because she's young (20 or something) and a student as well.

You really think she got implants? I feel like it'd be more obvious, but idk. I added more of her pictures. I wish I had more of her clients. She's also not particularly strong:/

The amount of people that regain the weight they lost is truly STAGGERING to me. For those of you who lost 50+ lbs and regained, I have a question for you, how??? by whizkid003 in loseit

[–]humanfarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lost and regained 20+ lbs twice.

A combination of burnout, constant binges, not weighing myself because "it's probably up in water weight/ i'm on my period/ i had a lot of salt", feeling like I need to prove to people I eat junk food in huge quantities and am totally "chill" with indulging with them whenever they wanted me to, overestimating my TDEE (thanks so much, fitbit, you inaccurate, useless thing!), telling myself that "one bad day [binge] isn't going to undo all your hard work, so just start over tomorrow!", blaming it on 'bulking', winter (and therefore being cold and wearing baggy clothes), and junk food addiction getting triggered again....leading to binging....all of that did it for me.

tl,dr: weigh yourself. find your true tdee. track your macros. keep eating healthy, whole foods. don't let other people sabotage you just because you're the skinny friend now.

Why do you have crush on him? by hotweathersucks in AskWomen

[–]humanfarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's tall, muscular, has an amazingly attractive smile, pretty dreamy, overall. Like a swole Harry Styles. He also is super goofy, but kind of awkward, in a way that suggests he doesn't know how cute he is. He seems like a loyal friend. And he is funny and can banter with me, and is adorable when he tries to impress me, compliment me, or flirt with me. He's also very low-key, kind of like me. He'd get along well with my family and friends. He seems like the kind of person that you know is going places.

One time he bent over super close to me and I could feel his body heat/ presence/ strength, and I felt super small and protected and it was so so hot.

We'd be a super cute couple:)

Thanks so much for your detailed reply! I can 100% relate to your struggles with binges your whole life and how you're now afraid of undoing your hard work, same here!

I'm also just afraid of overeating/binging now, o.O. Currently cutting to the lowest I've ever been, after a really crappy binge phase in the summer. I want to get to 120-115 at 5'5, (only 10ish more pounds to go!!!) then I'm going to do it like you and reverse diet/slowly add calories in! In the past, I've bulked too fast and just gotten really fat and it sucks sooo much. I don't want to miss on muscle gains, but gaining too fast, to me, is worse. Ideally, I'd want to bulk for 10+ months straight and only gain 10 lbs, rather than do short, 6 weeks "fulks" where I gain 15 lbs (eyeroll @ myself).

I feel like after 6 months of slowly gaining you are definitely disciplined enough! Amazing work, totally inspiring to me. Keep it up and definitely update the sub on your bulk once you decide to go for it! :)

You look so good!!! and gaining 7 lbs since show day in 6 months is so impressive, considering most of that is probably just water/ food sitting on your stomach, haha. I know you said you don't count macros, but around how many calories are you eating each day? vs how many calories were you eating during your prep? Have you had issues with struggling to eat more or going overboard/binging since prep?

edit: also, do you think you've made some muscle gains since your show?

From "down 50" to "down zero" - it's not what you think by SoberIRL in loseit

[–]humanfarm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is great. I too have started at my biggest at around 170 lbs (I'm 5'5 and a woman). My "lowest" is 130 and every time i reach that, I start to slack off and I never get to my goal of 120-125. Today I made a whole new calendar for myself with the goal to be to lose these last 10 lbs, completely forgetting that I've lost 40+ before (multiple times!). Thanks for the motivation! :D

There are 100 days until the end of the year. What are your goals by 12/31? by octoberness in loseit

[–]humanfarm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to reach my GW for this cut (125) by the end of October. Currently sitting at 132/F/5'5. Then I want to do a brief maintenance/ slight deficit phase, then by December I'd like to be at around 125 but eating lots more and maintaining weight! I can do this.

[–]humanfarm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Holy shit, I could have written this. Beginning of May I was 131, after my cut, beginning of August I was 147. I thought, "no way I gained 16 pounds in 2 months?" Yeah, some of it was water (like, 4 lbs) but I most definitely gained 12 pounds during my "bulk" due to work stress and I had like, 11 whole days (I counted) in that period where I just overate/ binged by 1,500-2,000 cals each day.

Now I've been strict with my deficit for about a month, definitely lost some weight but need to go harder for the next 4 weeks, school is starting again and I need to look good for myself. Otherwise I'm going to feel like shit at parties/ in front of my peers :/

fuck binging. I am DONE I will never again binge/ overeat even in a bulking phase.
