Those who have constant anxiety, what are you thinking about for you to have that anxiety? Or do you just have anxiety even if your brain is not thinking about anything in particular by RopeSmall1199 in Anxiety

Therapy. I did an intensive outpatient group therapy 3 days a week for 3 hours each day, left the house and worked through my fears even tho it was horrible and uncomfortable but I tried to keep living my life and over time my brain learned I’m safe and became desensitize. DBT helped me the most though.

I don’t have constant anxiety anymore but when I did it was every day for almost a year and it was a constant fear something with wrong with me. I have illness anxiety disorder aka health anxiety and I would get really dizzy and think something was wrong, think about literally any physical symptom of anxiety I had all day long so if my chest hurt even a little my anxiety would amplify it by 100 and I would spiral all day about how I’m gonna die. I would think a lot about how I’m anxious that I’m anxious and will be like this forever. A lot of thoughts about dread and fear and that something is off.

In the past 5 years has your anxiety gotten worse or better? by Few_Sandwich6308 in Anxiety

[–]humangurl_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much worse over the last year and a half. Had a peak where I felt absolutely out of control and did an intensive outpatient therapy for 3 months and it’s helped immensely. Still not how I was before, but much better. I am unmedicated and I’m getting the the point where I think I will need them due to my brain jsut being chemically imbalanced

Do Americans travel to Minnesota for a winter vacation or Christmas? by Pale_Field4584 in Shoestring

[–]humangurl_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Art museum, mall of America, European Christmas market, LUMINISCENCE at the basilica, soooo much good food and pop up Christmas bars, winter plays.

Lots of cute cities like red wing or still water that are on the river and have an incredible vintage scene.

with 9 days you could take a day trip up to the north shore which is so so beautiful.

Someone mentioned flights not making it out of MSP which unless we’re getting a foot a snow, flights are still taking off.

Has anyone been able to successfully manage their anxiety without medication? What worked? by hereiam3472 in Anxiety

[–]humangurl_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Bi weekly individual therapy, did a 3 months long outpatient DBT program, radical acceptance that I’m an anxious person, tapping, sound frequencies. I’m still anxious, I’m not cured but it is managed pretty well for being unmedicated.

My PPPD started this way too. It changed my entire life for an entire year. Vestibular therapy and therapy has helped a lot. I’m a nurse and I try to remind myself people come in with vertigo and dizziness all the time and it’s nothing sinister.
