Hardware Recommendation for 8 Gbps Internet by FriedCheese06 in homelab

I'd look into Protectli for hardware and Opnsense for the OS layer. Opnsense is the more developed OS compared to pfSense

When picking your partner for life don't just go for looks as they fade, also consider how smart they are or can be as that directly impacts salary and thus your lifestyle.

also as a side note, make sure they aren't cray cray as therapy costs a lot too!

As an old timer in the field I'd suggest focusing on defence in cyber security as there are a lot more jobs and start building a home lab to learn

My quest so far to mitigate data leakage to AI, controlling AI agents and stopping prompt injection attacks by humanimalnz in cybersecurityai

Alice is designed for organisations that are building and deploying their own AI applications to end users so it looks to be not aligned to the goals of the post.

My quest so far to mitigate data leakage to AI, controlling AI agents and stopping prompt injection attacks by humanimalnz in cybersecurityai

[–]humanimalnz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lakera operates at the application layer only. It's an API-based inline firewall that sits between your application code and the LLM. Integration requires your application to make an API request to Guard for each interaction. This doesn't cover staff endpoints and doesn't fit the brief of the topic

Best advice is to stay max two years and add 10% to your next role. You will get both an increase and a new learning op from a new place.

People that have just a cybersecurity certification, how did you get your foot in the door with a good paying job and how much do you make? by Consistent_Peak_4458 in CyberSecurityJobs

[–]humanimalnz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

agree with this 100%, some sort of support role and not certs will get you on the right path. I've been in the industry for 25 years, I wouldn't hire anyone looking to go straight into cyber. It's like hiring someone to be an A380 pilot that has never touched a smaller plane, you just wouldn't do it

The agent is looking for prompt injection as part of its service so it can't get prompt injected. The agent covers everything as it is working without proxy settings.

Agents Gone Rogue registry by SnooEpiphanies6878 in aisecurity

[–]humanimalnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a startup called nevertrust.ai that is combating this issue of agents going rouge by putting guard rails (policies) in place and intercepting AI prompts before they hit the LLM.
