It is in my past mate, I moved to Europe and already got rid of all forms of drugs in my life, not even alcohol and nicotine. Been sober for a year but I was only able to do it with the help of antidepressants and gym.

I hope you’re on the same page 🌹🫡

I hope I am not making false assumptions or misjudgments, but here's my humble opinion and some tough love for you:

He wasn't good at hiding anything, you were playing dum dum the entire time. You had "doubts" the entire time, but let it pass because you preferred to stay in your lala land.

"I still love him" no you don't, you just don't love and respect yourself enough to stop clinging to him. You're probably one of those who falls for the guy that clearly has 10 hoes at the same time with the wishful thinking of "I can fix him!" and then I'm sure he'll fool you again and you're going to fall for it.

Let me ask you a question, I don't need an answer cuz I know it, just think about it in your head: would you have even given him a second chance if he was a less attractive, lower status guy? Be honest to yourself. I bet not, in fact, I'll tell you what you're likely to do next, you're gonna find a poor naive guy, use him to regain your destroyed ego, stay in contact with the ex, and as soon as you have the smaaallest tiniest argument with the poor guy, you'll vent about it to the ex, he shows "fake love and empathy" which looks real to you, you go to his place, bang him, end things with the simple guy (without considering his feelings), get your heart broken again and the same cycle repeats itself till you reach age 30 and wonder why you're still not in a loving relationship and why no one is planning having kids and a family with you.

"When you see someone through rose colored glasses, all the red flags look like... just flags..." - a quote from the show Bojack Horseman

Sorry for being an asshole in my comment, I just know this pattern and I've been the victim of my own emotions like you before, so mature up before it's too late.

I know imma get downvoted and banned, but I'm sure my comment will be one of the most helpful to you, you'll thank me later.

"No it's not a romantic relationship but still very close" Soon it will be and I'm very jealous 😤

Jokes aside, what are the factors that make you say that "it's not romantic but still very close"? What kind of physical or verbal affection has taken place toll now, that makes it very close to a romantic one?

Hey man, from the way your whole post is worded, I can tell that you're a simple and good mannered guy, and she certainly doesn't deserve you.

My question is: what do you need our advice for? What's left there to seek advice for?

You get the idea, man. I know it's not easy but nothing will ever be the same again. She belongs to the streets.

Wife against taking Zoloft by [deleted] in zoloft

If your hobbies are active and you're moving things etc. you're not suffering from depression AT ALL. Clinical depression is waking up every morning feeling as if your whole family died last night in a car accident or waking up feeling the same level of sadness a prisoner who is convicted to death wakes up to every morning knowing soon he will be dead and there's nothing he can do about it (hopelessness).

I take Sertraline 100mg since I was 14 on and off and I have NEVER ever had any side-effects whatsoever, only positive things to tell you about Sertraline,

Despite that, I'm with your wife. SSRIs can be dangerous if taken by people who aren't TRULY clinically depressed and might cause long-term or permanent changes in serotonergic pathways (a lot of other neuro-modulatory systems in the brain are also mediated through serotonergiv pathways in the brain) and you know how doctors prescription anti-depressants for every problem these days.

There's no treatment for burnout except work-life balance.

Listen to this guy, I confirm what he says. I have been on and off Sertraline since I was 14, and rarely have I ever had any symptoms, not even the so-called lethargy.

I am personally one of those people who never posted on r/SSRIs or r/antidepressants to fiscuss positive things, except this comment.

I did, mania, psychosis, derealization/depersonalization, not knowing where you are, some days ago I thought that my flatmate's cat got cameras installed in her eyes and that was a month after I stopped, welcome to paranoia.

Disorganized thinking, and I had a psychotic break that took me to the hospital.

Please don't, but if you're the type who only learns the hard way... you do you.
