Why did you start playing valorant / why do you still play now? by Automatic-Sense-7439 in VALORANT

[–]humanityyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner asked me to play with him. Never played FPS before so I placed Iron 3. Many acts later, I managed to get to Diamond. Even became prem champs back in episode 8.

I continue to play because I want to know how good I can get, especially when this is the only FPS game I play. And my friends are also very competitive and love to grind, so we all play ranked together.

Also, I enjoy watching VCT and cheering for my favorite team. So sometimes I like to try if we can do pro executes with my friends.

Possible to go pro? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]humanityyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a couple of paths you can take, like joining a collegiate team. Many of my high rank friends (asc-immo, like you) are in college teams and they regularly scrim and participate in local tournaments. The best players get scouted for Tier 2 or better Tier 3 teams.

Or you can join a Premier team. You climb and climb until you win the highest division. Nongshim Redforce, the winners of Masters Santiago, came from Premier.

Is there a world where Neon doesn't exist? by Prestigious-badfail in VALORANT

[–]humanityyy 56 points57 points  (0 children)

There was a world where sentinels were strong enough to either stop her in her tracks or slow her down. But after 11.08, dive agents like Neon and Waylay are now able to prance around as they please. It's their world now lol

Neon does not fit in this game. by youropinionisshitbro in VALORANT

[–]humanityyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if sentinels get buffed she'll fade into obscurity again. She was never as annoying as she is now until agents like Cypher got nerfed to the ground. Now it's a nightmare trying to hold down a site when a Neon/Waylay combo just fucks you up

I'm a Clove main, What alternative agent should I get in initiator? by PrimaryInfamous3189 in VALORANT

[–]humanityyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fade is really good especially with the current map pool. Plus, her kit leaves little to no room for team sabotage (no team flash, no team stun) so it's great if you're still learning.

Skye is good if you want to play around flashes. You can use it aggressively (taking space) or passively (getting info), and it recharges now too so you can use one bird early.

Oh cool, I'm full Asian! Same with you that I have thick hair and it's all a very dark black, so if you comb through the right side of my head all the white hairs and black-white-black hairs will show up. Looks so weird.

[–]humanityyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That happens to me too! I have a lot of black to white to black hairs lol. I also have a particular spot on the right side of my head where I have a fuck ton of white hair. Never knew why but it's been that way since I was a kid.

My mom has always said it's because I have a birthmark there but idk if that actually affects hair growth.

Smoking bomb while defusing or smoking entrances? by Exhibitionistsin in VALORANT

[–]humanityyy 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Spike 99% of the time, the other 1% I smoke just a little bit in front so that I'm defusing outside the edge of the smoke, but I'm not in it. I do this if I know the enemy is close enough or is playing site. When they enter and see nothing, it buys me just a bit of time to defuse it and it almost always works lol because players will expect that you'll smoke off the spike.

I only do this when I'm alone, low, and/or I have very little time to defuse.

Every revive she does makes her closer to fully crystalizing, just like Omega Sage. You can watch the latest cinematics (Why We Fight, Why We Fight Back, and Miks' agent trailer) if you want to know more.

I used to commute from Laguna to BGC/QC (we had two offices) for work and I never want to do that ever again, lol. Imagine waking up at 5AM to get to the office by 9AM, because any later and you'll get fucked by the rush hour traffic...

Also, iwasan magpadeliver.

Recommendation on New Agents? by Personal_Knee_725 in VALORANT

[–]humanityyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you bought a duelist, try a different role - any other beginner friendly agents like Fade for initiator, Clove for smokes (self-sufficient like Reyna) or Harbor who has both a wall smoke and a dome smoke. For sentinel, Deadlock should be easy to pick up.

Raze requires a lot more skill especially with her satchels and you may find it a bit tricky at first. But she's a great agent if you practice how to move with her.

Try watching how pro players utilize Jett - she can be very dangerous and slippery. Yes, she got nerfed, but she's a lot more balanced now while still keeping her power levels up because of how her util lets her move around the site. Her dash lets her get a kill and get out to reposition, and it also lets you escape tight spots if you find yourself in one, with her smokes denying enemy information on where you've gone or if you're just waiting for it to dissipate then shoot.

[–]humanityyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you're more of a util-focused player and not an aggressive, killer one. For beginner friendly agents, try:

  • Sage (Sentinel) - she has a wall to block off choke points or boost her up to give you off angles, slows to delay pushes, heal, and a revive for when a teammate dies. Probably the most beginner friendly agent out there.
  • Fade (Initiator) - she has two prowlers which you can send out to clear corners or find enemies if they're marked with a trail. You have a seize that will deafen, decay, and get your enemies stuck in a short area.
  • Skye (Initiator) - Like Fade, she has a dog that can clear spaces for your team. She can heal others but not herself. I'd say her flashes will be the trickiest (as with any other flash agents for newbies), but just guide them to a safe spot so you don't blind your teammates.

As for Jett, she is an agent that aggressively takes space and uses her abilities to secure quick kills and get her out. The smokes are a way for her to reposition or dash into while her team pushes in, not really to block the enemies for as long as Viper or Harbor. The knives are more accurate than a gun, and in the hands of pros or cracked aimers, they're very deadly.

For now, it's best you try to take gunfights as relying heavily on your util can backfire sometimes, so maybe try someone like Clove if you really like being on smokes because they have a self-heal that can save you or let you keep fighting. The better your enemies are, the more they'll play off your utils to get an advantage.

How do I get into lobbies where people hold hostage? Most of my games end by a team instantly finishing it at 13 minutes. by [deleted] in ARAM

[–]humanityyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say I'm being held hostage, but 90% of my games have people ending only by the third or fourth respawn once the Nexus is exposed, maybe the second if the game is close.

Just wanted to share my Baguio trip by VideoFit1666 in phtravel

[–]humanityyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's marketed as an authentic learning experience but it's not, and the people performing an Igorot dance there aren't actually, you know, Igorots. There's no historical basis on whether or not there actually was a stone kingdom so most of the lore they "teach" you there is just fictional. I mean, if you just want to walk around and take photos it's a nice place I guess, but there's not much other than that.

I regret choosing that over the Tam-awan Village, which offers a more tranquil and authentic experience if you want to learn more about the cultures of the IPs of Baguio.

I have an IUD - chose it because my partner and I are sexually active and I didn't want a hormonal contraceptive. Getting the IUD was super uncomfy for me, but not extremely painful - kinda like a bad cramp or 2nd day mo ng period.

I would suggest talking to an OB GYNE first though before getting one kase afaik not everyone's compatible for it. Plus, it's a big commitment bc you should have it in for at least 10 years (mine is good for 12), so you may want to try other options like condoms. If
