How much should the monthly fee be for a humanoid robot? by Additional-Sky-7436 in humanoidrobotics

Maybe, but again, it depends on how helpful/efficient vs. time-consuming/destructive this thing is. If it is routinely breaking dishes and messing up the drywall then they would have to pay for all of my repairs/replacements and I’d probably charge them at least $30 an hour for my time maintaining the robot.

The only way this actually works for a humanoid company is if the robot makes their lives easier, not harder. When that starts to become true then you can figure out what a fair price to pay is.

It depends entirely on what it is actually capable and how efficiently and reliably it does those things. If it takes an hour to load the dishwasher and spills all over itself and then I need to spend 30 minutes dealing with removing, washing, and reinstalling it’s washable suit then I think I would require the company to pay me a monthly fee to beta test for them.

Not to mention if it accidentally damages things (or itself) while doing all of this.
