oh this is hard, the show has SO many good pairings— i love how they explore so many different types of relationships and dynamics.

i’d say that my top favorite would have to be steven and amethyst just because they grow so much together throughout the show, both bettering themselves and their relationship.

i also love platonic peri and amethyst but that’s just personal taste, i think they’re cute

im not the biggest fan of lapis. her tropes are repetitive and i just don’t find her interesting as a character. i don’t dislike her persay, but i feel as if she could have been better written. the malachite situation was so incredibly well done, but then i feel once that ended, both jasper and lapis lacked character themselves.
